Food was limited options my first and last time here only thing I liked was birria menudo was made with can hominy, pan cakes were not good at all, chorizo with potatoes and chilaquiles were all mushy and did not have a wow effect to my eyes I am really sorry to say this but as a Latin person I did not like the food at

Finally made it here, and I wasn't disappointed. The decore is something out of Mexico, with the dirt floor, but the restaurant is clean. I ordered the asada burrito, which came with sides and sauce. I was told their breakfast buffet is one of the best in town, and next time I come here, I'll try that out. Overall, I'd recommend Los Mezquites to anyone looking for a tasty meal in the southwest area of Tucson.

We went during Sunday brunch. Food was good, but not worth the $16 rate per plate given the poor seating arrangement and inevitable chaos. The place doesn’t have any flooring, it’s nothing but dirt/rocks and the place smells as such. In the middle of our meal, my son pointed out the spider webs on the back of the chairs and wooden posts. When I turn around I see a huge black widow spider on the back of my chair (literally inches away from my back). We did not enjoy our meals after noticing the critter and when we brought it to the attention of an employee (who understood us perfectly as we speak Spanish), he neglected to address the issue and simply looked at us blankly, without any response. Will not be returning to this establishment, don’t care how good their food is.
