Very casual fast food Cafe. We came for the chicken liver & were not disappointed! Well cooked in a light batter. Fresh & served hot. Even better the next day. Available for a short time are baked beans with green chili. Nice spicy kick to a traditional dish.

Hey, what can I say? This is a bit of Tucson history with great fried chicken, steak fingers and the best fries in town. Staff aren't quite as friendly as back in the 70's but the food is still fantastic!
Only complaint is that the music is so loud, it is hard to have a conversation.

Lucky Wishbone is an old favorite. I try to eat there whenever I'm in Tucson. It's great junk food that tastes absolutely fabulous. I love the steak fingers and the special sauce.

We tried a different location and just loved the chicken so we thought about trying this location. Portions are huge but I was disappointed in the chicken this time. While it was cooked to order, the chicken seemed tough.

Lucky Wishbone is just great. I was greeted and taken care of quickly. I had to wait for my food to be ready but it was worth it. Just like I remember back from my college days. Now my kids got to try it and say this is the best fried chicken they've ever had. My parents loved the cole slaw and the shrimp.

They’ve changed their recipes. Just not as good as it used to be. Sad too because they stayed the same for decades. Every time I would come visit Tucson had to pay a visit to a wishbone. Probably will end that tradition after this last meal.

Great as always. Wish they would open one in the Mesa area. Driving all the way to Tucson is a pain in the butt.

Just average now. The chicken breast improved with more weight and more coverage the crispy crust however it is dryer. Please see to it.

We have driven by one of the Lucky Wishbone locations for years since moving here in 2005 but never gone in... until today! I love chicken fingers, so why not. It appeared they had redone the interior, it was nice and clean and had a Tucson OG vibe to it. I ordered a 2 piece chicken finger meal and my hubby did the 6 piece shrimp. I loved the little box they serve the meals in. Fries were okay, chicken fingers were good and the Texas toast was decent. My husband said he liked the chicken fingers better than the shrimp (he was grazing on my box) Bottom line, it is fried food so do not come here if you are seeking healthy. Staff was very friendly and nice. Location is near a bus stop - I call that out as there were a few homeless doing the drug dance which was annoying given the big windows/views here.

The current 7 piece dark meat fried chicken box for under $10 is a solid winner.

Found this one after a long hike and it felt like a cozy reward. Friendly face at the counter, hearty portions, and that James Beard thing kind of famous now. Didn’t love the chipped plate I had, but food was solid and the vibe warmed me up fast.

These stores are Icons of Tucson. Been around forever and they do one thing, sell fried food. If you like chicken livers, look no further, this is the place to go. I think their fries are probably the best around and they make damn good fried chicken as well!
