We drove down from the Phoenix area to pick up some pastizzi - and - WOW -so worth the trip! I have tried for years to make pastizzi with limited success. We just baked the pastizzi from Joe and it really is perfection! The layers of pastry are so flaky & crispy. Joe- thank you so much! We loved the sweet pastizzi too (the Nutella filling was amazing!) And the almond cookies were fantastic -
We will definitely be back!

Omg these things bring back childhood memories and they are amazing perfection!

I ordered 10 dozen pastizzi from Joe for the gathering after my father's funeral. Shipped during record breaking heat to north SF Bay, they arrived still perfectly frozen (and well packed for longterm freezing if you plan to do that) and baked beautifully. The came out golden, flaky and so delicious and reminded us of our Zija's very authentic pastizzi making which we miss . Well worth it and Joe himself such a lovely person to interact with. Gazzi ħufna, Joe!

I ordered ahead for a birria pastizzi and a ricotta pastizzi from Malta Joe's Baked Goods LLC for lunch. It was not only delicious, but Malta Joe threw in a couple of wonderful blueberry dessert minitzzi too! i highly recommend the birria pastizzi, the ricotta pastizzi, and the nutella and blueberry minitzzis! Thank you, Malta Joe, I look forward to visiting you again soon!!

Had a Malta dog and pastizzi split pea and curry. All was delicious but the almond cookies.

Most importantly, the Pastizzi were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! They were crispy and not at all greasy. The Pastizis are wonderful, and the Almond Cookies are phenomenal and borderline addicting. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is easy to oder online and pick up simple and quick.

I am so happy I found Joe and his pastizzi’s. When I arrived Joe came right out of the kitchen to introduce himself and explain all of his goodies. He was so friendly and welcoming. The pastizzi’s come frozen ready to heat up. I got the variety pack so I could try them all.. I don’t think all 12 are going to last me very long.. they are just so tasty I couldn’t stop smiling. The dough is perfect, good amount of filling. Super easy to heat up at home, either in the oven or the air fryer.I’ll be coming back for sure, I would recommend to everyone. Get on the pastizzi train you won’t be disappointed. Thanks joe..?

We are enjoying our pastizzi multi-pack and Malta dogs very much- yummy & unique texture and flavors. Will be back!A couple suggestions, Joe. One is to include suggestions on what to serve with the pastizzis as accompaniments such as sauces or sides (recipes??). Also, with the variety pack, maybe you could separate the flavors so people can choose what flavor they are in the mood for. I personally wasn’t sure what flavors I was eating since it was my first time to try pastizzi?? Thanks!!

We only discovered Malta Joes today and what a find indeed! We met Joe at the bakery and he is a very friendly and helpful guy - we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to him. Even though we only got the pastizzi today I have already had a corned beef pastizzi and the split pea and curry pastizzi with the blueberry cheesecake pastizzi to follow up. They were great If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you live in Tucson do yourself a favour and visit Joe. If you live further afield then order some - Joe evidently ships frozen pastizzi all over the continental US and to HI. A truly great find

Drove from Pasadena to MaltaJoes in Tucson for his bombass pastizzi. Bought 4 coolers worth for us and family because we miss the aunties making them for us. Great pastizzi, even better than the ones the aunties made.
