Your manager (beard, short) is on a power trip and he needs to be fired. The manager has been mean to myself, refusing to give me parts of my order that I payed for. I witnessed him being rude to my wife, and he's rude to my family. I asked my family who are regulars for their opinions and the same guy has been rude to them too. You recently got an employee named James who used to be nice, now he is rude and abrasive as well. This manager needs to be stopped.

Your chef who is there alot is consistently rude and angry. Top knot. Beard, kinda short. What is his problem? Please tell him to mellow out. He is being very mean to your customers on multiple occasions. I'm gonna stop going. He makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong by going to your restaurant. My order is always simple and I don't ask for much.
Edit: Gave it another chance and I was threatened by James over a tip that I was willing to give. He said "no tip I assume?" Right off the bat. He then denied saying this and back peddled so he knew what he was saying. He then lied to me right to my face when I explained the situation to the owner. The owner is a nice man but his staff is horrible and rude.

I have been going to Maru since they first opened. It was always my top pick for Japanese food. I dont know if they changed owner or what, but the last few times were very disappointing. I ordered a Beef Udon to go, for $17 look what kind of "beef" they give me. The broth is way too salty and the "beef" is almost dissolved in the broth.

Do not go between 2 and 3 p.m the chef leaves and no one knowz how to prepare specific sushi rolls, you would have to wait for the chef a good hour and a half.
They do not lend bathrooms. Restaurant without bathrooms, WHAT!
Vegetarian options: Some vegeterian options!

Walked in to sit down and eat, I had to just walk out. It's so hot in the restaurant and was so empty. I was sweating so hard. I don't think I'm going to go back. Didn't even get a chance to order food or buy anything.

Is the food here amazing? Yes. Is it a little pricy? Maybe. Do they know the difference between tonkotsu and tonkatsu? Not so much

How can this be here and not in LA or NYC? I’ve been here twice, and both times the food was epic. The sushi is so fresh, the noodles and broths are wonderful. Tokyo street food/diner food- but also elegant. The vibe here is informal, clean, and good. Try it! I recommend!
