We were in town on vacation and stumbled across this panederia in search of pan dulce. What a find! We met the owner and got to hear about his passion and journey in the industry! A true gem! We stocked up on pan dulce, pan artisenal and tortillas for our venture back home to Chicago!

The softest, delicious pan dulce! Even the cookies are soft. We purchased a muffin, concha, pecan cookie, pumpkin empanada, pineapple filled bread, and watermelon inspired cookie all for less than ten bucks. The pastries were fresh and absolutely delicious. We visit our local panadería often back home and have yet to find a better one, until today. Service was exceptional; very kind employee.

The Mendez Bakery is fabulous. Immediately after you enter you are enticed by the wonderful aromas. All is so fresh and delicious. We loved everything, especially the pan dulce, the marble cake, and the cinnamon rolls. Can't wait to go back.
