Terrible, there was a tooth in my menudo. The meat in my taco was bad.

Best margaritas in town. Be ready to wait. Food is much different than most of the other Mexican restaurants around here. Always great!

It just keeps getting worse and worse. I don’t think i will ever be back. Since new ownership the food taste like the owners other 2star restaurant across the street. Rice taste like it’s out a bag and beans ….. I don’t even know what to say! Low quality food now! I regret even tipping. WHAT A SHAME. #bringbackjimmy

I live out of town and I was craving.Mexican food being raised in Tucson, I missed it. It had been more than ten years since I dinned at this restaurant when it was still operated by original owner & son. That was the best!!

This time was DISAPPOINTED With a new ownership and food

President's Plate(Chile relleno, bean tostada chicken enchilada and beef tamale), First of all for a minute I thought they brought me some sort of taco salad because of the overwhelming
amount of shredded lettuce that was a total overkill. I had to go digging for my food because there was so much of it

The food itself: the chile relleno was cold and tasteless, The bean tostada was in a little fried tortilla cup with barely any visible beans full of lettuce And some.
sprinkled cheese, The beef tamale was OK in flavor BUT did not have any beef as I only tasted chopped potato and jalapeno. The chicken enchilada was dry and hardly any enchilada sauce.

The Red Chile con carne and taco plate: wwith beans: chile con carne was very watery And the meat had a lot of nerves. The taco was soggy, The beans did not taste anything like the old iconic Minidito..And the same thing wuth here the plate was overwhelmed by the amount of shredded lettuce. My coffee was bitter And tasted metallic. The ambiance was practically deadI, don't think we will go back again. Sorry New Minidito!

My Family and I have made it a ritual in stopping for lunch or Dinner on our way to Chihuahua Mexico or on our way back for over13 years. This time was a horrible experience I ordered hard taco plate and got a plate with a whole lettuce and way to much cheese for two Tacos!
While we waited for our dinner we got water down salsa. I asked the waiter to bring thicker a really hot salsa and said they did not have.waiter shows back up and brought back the same salsa and told us He had put bottle salsa Valentina or something similar.
Extremely disappointed' We have decided to sadly END OUR Ritual Stop With Mi Didito!☹️

All around fair. Atmosphere is loud. Large portions and the food is OK. A place worth trying.

It's gone down hill, since the last time we visited this restaurant. Had the birrieria tacos, not it was canned meat. Will not return.

I've been here multiple times every year for decades this spot used to be the best Mexican restaurant in town,I always would recommend coming here to strangers looking for good Mexican food. But now I would feel embarrassed recommending this place the new owner really took this opportunity and completely sabotaged it. the quality of food and the taste have gone downhill . It's really sad to see them ruining this restaurant that used to be a favorite to many.

Is this the best mexican restaurant in all of Tucson AZ? I think the answer is yes. This is the most famous. And the best mexican food in all of Tucson. - Ryan Comstock Realtor / Tucson / Oro Valley / eXp Realty
