I am extremely disappointed with Mr. Toro. For the past year and a half, we've been ordering meat without any issues, but today was a completely different experience. After calling in our order this morning, we arrived to pick it up only to find out that our order was never made. We were told that someone had come in and cancelled it. Who? I believe they forgot our order and they looked right at a tag with my name on it. This lack of communication and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. We trusted this place for our meat needs, and this experience has made us reconsider our options. I hope they can improve their communication for future customers. Off to find something for dinner now.

Just moved to Tucson and had so far the Best burro here at Mr. Toro. Wonderful service and looks like a full array of meats and accompaniments from fresh chilies to prepared salsas. Look forward to being a regular here.

Aside from the fresh meats, they also have a selection of cooked meats and baked goods. The tortillas are excellent and the carnitas are the best in the area.
They also sell burros and soups at the lunch counter, including red and white menudo, and have a small selection of groceries, drinks, and fresh fruits and veggies.
I highly recommend the calabacitas and caldo con queso soup, and a burro made fresh to order.
