Old Pecking is a Tucson Gem. Serene atmosphere with Absolutely Delectable dishes. From front of the house to back of the house, you’re not treated as a number but as a guest. Are you tired from a long day of work? Old Pecking has a warm entree ready for you. Are you celebrating a birthday? Hey! Old Pecking offers desserts too. Old Pecking is an all occasion establishment and will humbly exceed expectations. Clean establishment, fresh food, and reasonable prices.
My favorite Chinese restaurant. They have the best Hot and Sour soup too.
The food is awesome. Best authentic Chinese food in Tucson
my Partner and I dined here, the food was delicious... that being said the atmosphere and service was amazing. We felt like family. Well better but we have dysfunctional families. We ordered and our server said, IN THE MOST LOVINGLY, MOTHERLY WAY "you guys dont wanna order any vegetables? You should have some vegetables for a good nutritious meal." I knew I would be coming back here in that moment regardless of how the food was... because when we denied it she didnt push it and respected our decision... while providing a cute and loving jab when she brought the food out about "and no vegetables" it was in no way shape, or form, rude, derisive, or unpleasant... again it was the most wholesome, wonderful, and genuine experience that you just cant get anywhere else.

I know it was Christmas and busy but they didn't even change the table cloth from the night (or nights) before. This is where I sat. (See photo. ) The whole place needs a good, detailed cleaning.

Food is great with reasonable prices.
Update: Friday, Dec 20, we went to order carry-out dishes. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't the same as the first time we dined in, especially the roasted duck, the worst dish I ever had.

Same as the review above no chicken inside of my general Tso. When they first bring it it’s hot and the sauce is great but once it cools…you realize there isn’t any chicken just dough.

You cant really call it Sweet and Sour Chicken, when there isn't any actual chicken. Overpriced dough balls is all we got. Forget the crab puffs, stale and dry rocks, inedible. Our food was questionable at best.

We’ve been going to Old Peking for a long time and it’s been awhile since our last time!We went there on a weekday for the lunch special. It is a nice atmosphere inside especially to the left. The lunch specials were about 12-14 bucks. We got two crab rangoon, cashew chicken and sesame chicken with steamed white rice and the hot sour soup to start. We also got the delicious scallion pancake, a start fav!The soup was absolutely delicious. The dishes were generous in portion size and were very good as well! We got a 25’ calendar to go which was a nice gift! The service was not the best. When I asked for something the waitress pushed back in reply, “just a minute, I’m trying to serve this person and I’ll be back!” However, when many others did the same she didn’t do that to them. I also had to ask for a refill of my water as she never came around to ask. I would order from there again but there are other great places to go nearby as well with great service and just as delicious of food too! We will go back for the amazing food, nice atmosphere and hope for better service.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options here.
Parking: Parking is smaller in main area but plenty of it next to the main lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very open layout for the disabled and wheelchair accessibility.

My husband's Orange Chicken was cooked too crispy and too many small hard pieces. My Kung Pao Chicken was good. Service was acceptable. If in the area, may go back again.
