Will not support this business again. Our bartender tried to charge us $25 extra for the tasting, assuming both of us wouldn’t catch it. I’d think it was an honest mistake, but the fact that the same “mistake” happened to a person who left a negative review last week, in addition to how she reacted when confronted (I got caught vibes) - implies the latter. It’s a shame, because the wine was good. Never going back.
Anna is an excellent host with lots of knowledge about wine and vineyards. The wine tasting room is very cozy and comfortable. You can select between 2 different tasting menues, one is a combination of white, rose, and red wines, the other one is a selection of premium red wines. The wine tasting at Old Pueblo Cellars is an enjoyable experience and highly recommended 👌.
Well, I was really excited to come for this experience as I had heard great things, unfortunately I didn't get to experience the greatness. Upon arrival for our 4pm wine tasting, (arrived at 355) the room was still super packed from the 2pm group and was asked to wait outside. No worries, it's only 105 today, I asked the bar tender if we could have a glass of wine while we wait and was told no, they were really busy and to please just wait. After 30 mins of sitting outside we asked another staff member if we could get a glass of wine and he said he would look into It( mind you multiple people on the patio were enjoying a glass of wine). still no wine for us. After 45 mins we walked back inside too see the status and the 2pm group had left and what I assumed was the majority of the 4pm group was already starting???? We sat at the bar, asked if we would like a cheese and meat board to enjoy our wine with (sure, absolutely ) and started with our white wine tasting. The bar tender was nice, but no background of the wines, the history of the business, the flavor or smell of the wines... nothing. Pours were extremely small. At the end I gave my card, paid and left.. Checked my account today and realized 70, SEVENTY dollars for one Safeway charcuterie board, and two 18$ wine tastings, with a 10$ tip. One star price, one star service, only saving factor were the wines were really good. Wish I could have learned about them though.
We enjoyed the offerings of the local vendors and actually bought a couple of things. The wine tasting was the main event. The combination of whites & reds were a good balance. The Malbec & Malvasia Bianca were my faves. Both are elegantly smooth. Our wine tasting hostess was knowledgeable & exuberant.
We were on a girls trip in SoAZ and happened to spot this on the map near our hotel. We called and made a reservation, which is required. Alessia was a fantastic host and shared a lot of information about the wines, grapes and some of the history. Exceptional service, beautiful property and delicious wine and slushy drinks!
Quite and relaxing time. The testing is very affordable I will definitely coming back. Nice flavor wines my favorite was number 3. I forgot the name 🤔
I truly enjoyed the wine. The history of the wine. Tasting service was very nice and wine was good. I recommend this wine because it is a vegan wine that taste 😋 good
Alessia is highly engaging with the wine tasting! Superb wine as well!

Did not like there wine at all. Sampled 2 wines and we walked out.

We are visiting from Cincinnati Ohio and wanted to look for a local vineyard.
This was a very fortunate find! It is tucked away but beautiful when you find it.
Alessia was magnificent! Very knowledgeable, a natural storyteller, charming, and full of info about the wines. She asked if we needed dinner suggestions - she recommended Tavolino, which was also delightful!
The wine was pleasantly surprising! We visit a lot of small vineyards when we travel and the quality varies a lot. But the wine here was excellent! I especially enjoyed the Malbec, and my wife enjoyed the Super Tucson (a super Tuscan blend - I’m still giggling at the cleverness of the name.)
Their wine is vegan and has no added sulfites.
A true little gem in the desert! Highly recommend!
A jewel in the desert. Stopped by based on reputation and made an afternoon of it.
What a great experience! Loved the wines and the atmosphere of this place. Alessia was super informative about the wines. Loved her stories of wine making history and the random side stories. Highly recommend a stop here while in Tucson!
My sister and my husband and I spent several hours at this winery. Alyssia and Tobies were great sommeliers! The wines were all delicious. This was the second time we’ve been there and will go back when we visit Tucson again! The grounds were very beautiful too!!
As always a great experience. Allesia is funny and informative and all around delightful. She's the main reason I come back and bring out of town visitors for a fun and unique wine tasting experience.
Seems that the wines are getting better. Love the Tempranillo and Super Tucson! 🍷❤️
