On August 19, 2024 I got take away from this location and while eating I found a large metal wire in my food, and suspect I swallowed a smaller piece of metal I thought may have been a bone. I bit down on the piece of wire you see in the picture, and coughed up blood from the smaller piece I must have swallowed.
I went back to the restaurant to file a claim immediately, and have been back and forth with Pei Wei’s corporate insurance provider (Gallagher Bassett) ever since. I received a denial of the claim today stating that there was no foreign material in my meal — even going so far as to say I “allegedly ate” this meal. I promise you, this was very real and very scary.
Since it appears that no action will be taken as of now, here’s a photo of what I found in my food at this location that evening.
Be careful, and be aware that Pei Wei corporate will not act with integrity if employee negligence results in you swallowing something like what I found in my meal. I’ll leave this up until someone at Pei Wei corporate contacts me personally to review the claim I filed and apologize.
Days later, it’s sad to see no response from PeiWei or their insurance provider… I’ll be taking appropriate actions to report this.
So much for the chopped Asian salad nothing is chopped in the this salad? I will never order this again! Is used to be my favorite salad not anymore. I wish I could attach the picture to show you how nothing is chopped. I feel like they opened the bag and threw it all together.😫
Perfect everytime. Everyone is so nice. All the servers take good care of you. Kitchen is nice too. Take out is always perfect and quick. Always clean and smells good. Always a fan 💛
I'll never go to Panda again!
Very acreage asian fare. It was ok, but nothing special. Close to a drive thru type food.
Food is a bit overrated
This location has cut back a bit.
Overpriced trash.
This used to be our go to place, but it seems like the quality of the food has gone downhill. I ordered the chicken pad Thai. The noodles and sauce are not the same as they used to be and there are way too many sprouts mixed in with the noodles and it’s very crunchy. The taste was not great so I tossed 3/4 out. Even the crab wontons don’t taste like they used to, and as another reviewer noted, they just throw in the chili packets with the wontons, which makes it really hard to rip them open when you’re trying to eat your dinner. They used to come a little cups. My husband had the bourbon chicken which he said was just average. Sadly, I think they’ve lost us as customers because what we got for a $50 dinner was unacceptable.
Stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. Employees just kept looking over but ignored me.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is good and higher priced than the famous ursine chain.
I had the bourbon chicken with white rice and it was tasty
It's always so good here I have never had a bad dish and I come here at least 4 times a month.
Girl lied about canceling my order and was going to let me leave thinking it was canceled and would be getting cr then got an attitude when I asked for the order I paid for. Hard to believe a restaurant would leave someone who couldn't get a customer a credit alone on a Saturday afternoon.
I put in a pickup order to the incorrect PeiWei (oops) and when I went in to grab the order at the Ina location, the ?manager was very kind and understanding. He instructed us to cancel our order with the broadway location and they made our food very quickly. Thanks again!
