Drove 2 1/2 hours to spend the day at Old Tucson. When we got there we were it was closed for the day. Very disappointed because we had planned this adventure for weeks. We were told we should have looked on Facebook to see that they were not going to be open. The announcement went up at 7 am. we were told. There should have been something on the website because we got the directions from there.

Nice day to relax and enjoy the shows and mingle with everyone. Ride the train and stage couch. Watch the street fights.

It isn't the same as it was way back when, but it's still really great. The cast members and everyone who works in the stores are super friendly. Highly recommend. Only four stars because there aren't many convenient ways to drive there.

Literally can't get give it a higher rating as it wasn't opened. Now you may think that it's unfair to rate a place that wasn't open but here's the thing: Nowhere on the website is it listed that THEY ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAY! We checked, believe me, we checked before planning our trip and driving 4 hours round-trip to get here, we checked the hours. Nothing ANYWHERE about this place being closed on Tuesday. Looks like a fun place. Shame that they have a complete moron in charge of the website.

We have not been to Old Tucson in 35 years and this was so much fun! The re-creators were wonderfully talented and the historian giving us a historical movie tour was funny and informative. It's definitely a 'to do' if in the Tucson area.

Let me begin by saying I wasn't quite sure to expect, but Old Tucson really was much more fun than I was expecting. I have so many good things to say about it, but I will try to be concise: - top reason: the cast and crew. Every. Single. Staff person we encountered was nothing short of delightful. Especially the ones who were participating in the re-enactments or the stage plays. So friendly, engaging and stayed in character. The blacksmith too! What a fun surprise to have great staff. - I loved not being "nickel and dimed" once inside. All the rides and experiences were free! It was so refreshing to simply walk around and experience the park without having to decide if it's worth it to shell out more $. It gave the sense of living the western life back then. - lots to do and experience. There were 2 rotating plays. Both relatively short - maybe 15-20 min. The first one we saw was hilarious. My kids literally fell out of their chairs. The second one was a little more serious, but my kids loved it (they said it was their favorite part of the trip) - the actors sang their hearts out. I was so surprised. How awesome! - we left after about 4-5 hours because the kids were tired, but we didn't experience everything. There was still more. They didn't ask to leave we just noticed they were getting a little tired. My kids are young (11,8,5) and there was plenty of things for them to keep them entertained the whole time. I know there was a LOT more for adults with more patience to read and experience (I would have liked to stay longer). We will definitely be going back. Rumor has it that this placed us under new ownership in the last year or two. I'm not sure. Either way - it was awesome.

hi my name is Anne. my husband and I went to Old Tucson Studios today. before we left, I looked online to see how much the tickets were...35.00 when we got to the ticket window, the person said it was 55.00. he finally did honor the online price. the train ride was really disappointing. I know there were items along the track and in the field that were from previous movies but nothing was said about those items..the narrative was about the train and the whistle...I thought this sight was about movies....not about trains. there are not enough benches located around the park. if you need to rest, you have to sit on the gravel......the park charges enough admission to get benches for older folks to sit and rest!

The entry price for admission is outrageous for what you offer and "experience". $45 for what? I'm still trying to figure out what I paid $45 for, can't leave fast enough! If I could leave a 1/2 star I would!

We were recommended to check this place out and glad that we did. For a single admission price, you have access to so many events and activities. You can start off with a Group tour guide who will explain the history and film production in this area. Afterwards, there are plenty of areas to explore and many shows at certain times to catch. They do a lot of crowd participation, so be sure to wear clothes that'll help make you stand out like we did! There are also restaurants, a petting zoo, carousel, train and wagon rides. We had a lot of fun and laughs. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend you checking it out.

We went last month for Yuletide, it was our first time visiting Old Tucson. Tickets were slightly pricey, but it included all of the shows, train ride, hayride, etc. so I think it evened out for the cost to get in. I'd say we were there for three and a half to four hours. They had holiday decorations & lights up, there were elves and carolers that helped bring you the holiday spirit. We had arrived just a few minutes before they opened & the line to get in was massive, but thankfully as soon as the opened the line moved pretty quickly so we weren't waiting in line forever. I thought the little museum they had with a lot of old movie props & information from films & shows that were filmed at the location was pretty neat. It was also cool being able to see the black smith working right in front of everyone. The opening ceremony with Santa was fantastic, the only thing I would say they could change is maybe have some kind of rope or paint line in the dirt to show where everyone needs to be standing for it. People were spread kind of all over & when the staff started corralling everyone to where they needed to be there were a lot of rude people shoving and cutting in front of people trying to get the people who were already in the proper spot out of the way. I felt like they had a lot to offer/do during the Yuletide event. There were quite a few shows to watch, a small hay maze for kids, a theatre showing classic holiday movies, a trivia game for kids, a carousel, story time with Mrs. Clause, Photos with Santa, a holiday sing along hayride, a train ride and more. All of the staff we had interacted with were friendly & helpful. The stunt show didn't have anything overly wild, but the actors are what made the show fun to see, we enjoyed the show & had a great time. We didn't try any of the food options at Old Tucson so I can't comment on the price or how good the food was. I only gave it four stars as some of the prices in the gift shop & candy store were a bit high and on top of a semi pricey ticket to get in might make it harder for some families to be able to afford a trip. A tiny piece of fudge was $10 for plain & other treats and merch were pretty up there was well. Other than that we are glad we were able to visit & see what Old Tucson had to offer for the holiday season.

this is only an event you can go in if you ALREADY BOOKED A TOUR. We stopped in here for fun and we were not able to enter. The only thing that was open was the gift store. Just a warning the others debating going here!

Be aware they haven't updated their website and there are only $16 hour long walking tours until Jan 20th. After Jan 20th, 2024 they open the rides again and have old west shootouts.

Since they have changed things. it wAs really fun. I like the gunfights. It was talking to people that were roaming around. The show girls were funny. The train ride and horse ride was fun.
