This was our first visit to Piazza Gavi, but it won't be our last! The food, service (Omar was fantastic) and overall experience was outstanding! Both my wife's meal (Chicken Parmigiana) and mine (Pescatore) were delicious! The quality of the food was excellent and the quantity was substantial (we'll get two dinners each from this meal).
Always excellent in every respect. Gavi is one of my top 3 restaurants in Tucson. I still miss the original Broadway location, but the food has always been incredible. I've never had a bad meal at Gavi.
Continuously delicious! Great drinks every time and every recipe I've had here just delightful! I can't wait to visit Tucson again to come back!
Excellent service and amazing food!! Noah is awesome and attentive. Thank you for another exceptional dining experience, Piazza Gavi!
Food was phenomenal. Service terrific. Very loud but the food so good I can tolerate the noise. Can't wait to come back
We made reservations and were seated promptly, our server got us the wine we ordered and it was fabulous. Great start and then it went downhill. I ordered their special Rib Eye, they asked me how I liked it cooked. I said medium rare. The food arrived after quite a wait and the Rib Eye was well done, no flavor. I ate about a third of it but just couldn't eat it anymore. We had to wait a long time for our check. Was really glad the dinner was over.
We enjoy Gavi for a quick night out and a special occasion. We've been fans for well over 10 years. Food is tasty. Portions are generous. Very fair prices. Fried calamari is a consistent hint as is the chopped salad. Having a house wine by the carafe is a plus.
As usual - a memorable experience. Food, ambience & service 5 stars! Noah was the engaging consummate Waiter. Absolutely the best! Piazza Gavi never disappoints.
On Sunday 08/03/2025 we ate a late lunch at Gavi's. It was excellent. Great wine list. Eric our waiter was attentive and helpful. Bruschetta a la Caprese was tasty. The lobster ravioli was excellent as was the veal parm. We split a generous piece of tiramisu with coffee for dessert. It is on the pricey side, but we will be back because we had a great meal.
We have been coming to Gavi and then Piazza Gavi for over 30 years. This was one of the best experiences that we have had since the Broadway location closed due to our waiter Manny. The food is always exceptional but we have found the service to be off most times. Not this time. Manny was so on top of what we needed and made our night over the top great. We had the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer, spaghetti Bolognese and pork carnevale for our dinners. I had the St. Francis zinfandel. Dessert was the 5 layer chocolate cake. The bill was beyond reasonable. We will return, but we will ask to have Manny as our waiter.

I am italian and come from a family of great cooks. I have also owned two restaurants. Gabby is my favorite italian restaurant in arizona. If you go there ask for john he is possibly the best waiter in town. The portions are tremendous and the quality of the food is unsurpassed. I bring my family there.
My go to place in Tucson for Italian food. The servings are generous and consistently good
We went here on a work dinner when we were in Tucson for a conference. I wanted the Pescatore but hesitated at the $33 price tag. But, I didn’t have any calamari the last time I was in Mexico so I decided to splurge. Our waiter informed the table that the portions were quite large (except you only get 6 ravioli if you order that, but they’re also large ravioli). I kind of rolled my eyes and thought “yeah… sure”. I swear they didn’t bring out a bowl of Pescatori it was a whole soup tureen. I tried real hard (and made my stomach hurt) trying to eat as much as I could because I swore I’d eat it all. Well… I had enough leftover to basically have an entire second meal. The seafood is amazing. However, if you do NOT like calamari I do not recommend you order this, it is calamari heavy (which I love so it’s ok with me). It doesn’t just have the calamari tentacles either, it also has the baby octopus also in there, so be warned (I love it all so I didn’t mind, just be aware). It was so good and SO WORTH THE PRICE!
The food was good and the atmosphere was good too we went for our son’s birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed. We will definitely go there again
