Restaurant was large, so altho there was a line all the way outside, it moved very quickly. We were not impressed with the food and felt it was very overpriced. It's in the middle of an Old West theme park, so had alot of kid friendly things to do.
I remember doing a photo shoot in this area many years ago. Since it was close to the location of my business meetings in Tucson, I decided to give it a try for dinner. It was not good at all: old, dusty, smelly place with hundreds of ties hanging from the ceiling: apparently, once upon a time people who were wearing ties upon entry, had theirs cut off and hang on the ceiling...the beginning of loss of civility which is now observable at every step of our wonderful society. Prices are low, but there is absolutely no decent wine, the veggies accompanying the steaks were mushy and service mediocre at best. A wasted evening for me. **
We had originally planned on eating somewhere else on our way to the town, but the wait at the restaurant was too long so we decided to try Pinnacle Peak. We were not disappointed. The whole time we were there was an experience: from watching the cooks cook over an open fire, to the uniforms, all the wood, and the ties hanging on the ceiling. The food wasn’t anything over the top and it reminded me of going home to the farm for dinner. It was simple, yet good. The service was perfect.
Such a delightful meal! 4 of us, 3 got steaks one the potted beef meal (which came with fresh green beans, mashed potato and gravy). They bring their ranch beans and baked bread to the table. First off, the salads were just so fresh with lovely lettuces, but I was surprised how good the salad dressing (ranch) was too. Each of the steaks was cooked perfectly and just delicious. They do lose points in presentation, these $30+ steaks came to the table accompanied by nothing else, guess you have to order potatoes or vegetables extra. Oh, and do try their root beer, it comes in a frosted glass and is tasty. We got there just as they opened and werre gone by the time any big crowds showed up. Have been going there for decades, but it was really a nice surprise.
Not as impressive as l remember from our previous past visits, the zero wait time for a seating should have been our early warning.
Our food was ok, just ok. Not great, but not bad, it just didn't fire on all cylinders. We all agreed that it lacked any substantial flavor and was overly bland. Sadly the beans were the highlight of the nights culinary disappointment.
I've never had any illusion that Pinnacle Peak provides great tableside service and apparently this disappointing tradition is well preserved. We weren't mistreated, we just never felt treated or valued as guest.
In it's better days, Pinnacle Peak used to be a almost magical special place, now it's a mediocre overpriced under performing steakhouse with dismissive staff who are obviously coasting on autopilot with minimal effort.
Consistently disappointing.
We could have eaten anywhere, but we decided on Pinnacle Peak, we paid the prices asked and did our part, sadly Pinnacle Peak didn't make the effort to hold up their side of the visit.

Tonight we got our sons’ senior pictures taken at Silhouette Photograph and as a celebration we decided to take him to eat at Pinnacle Peak since it was all in the same area. I was so excited to take my son to what I thought was gonna be a delightful dinner.
It was about 6:30ish and were seated right away. We ordered and everything was great. The food was tasty and was going down so good, when all of a sudden my son said, IS THAT A ROACH? It ran across his plate over his meal! I was totally caught off guard and I said, where??? He then lifted his plate and there it was!!! A ROACH!!! It was about to run off the table and he grabbed it with his napkin and smashed it. We told the waiter and gave the napkin to him with the roach in it probably still half alive so he could see for himself. He took the napkin and asked where the roach came from? My husband said he saw it fly by but I didn’t check if it had wings or not but now that I’m thinking about it maybe it fell off from the ceiling? I don’t think it crawled up from the floor but I was super upset because I felt the experience was ruined and now I couldn’t finish my meal and I felt stomach weak at this time. My son asked if he could have a new plate and I was over it and wanted to leave. The waiter said he told the manager and that he/her took his plate off our bill and I appreciate that.
To who ever the manager was, I don’t know because he/she never came by our table to introduce him/her self. Thank you, thank you manager for not changing me for the Cowboy that the roach ran over.

Food it’s average, they serve bread like right out of the bag not even toasted. Prices are too high for the food they serve… definitely will go back and seat at the bar which was awesome right after eating at Texas Road House.

Great atmosphere and wonderful food and the service can't be beat. It's a must do every time we go to Tucson. It's a casual place, but I suggest you wear a t shirt and throw on an OLD tie for some fun.

Love taking our two boys here on random Friday nights. Our last server was Dave, I think. I wish I was certain on the name.. He was awesome, the food was excellent as usual, and the staff while entering and exiting we're all very pleasant to us. Their draft root beer is something the kids always look forward too, as well. For me, its always the big cowboy porterhouse. So good!

Pinnacle Peak was an incredible experience. My kids (and myself) felt like we walked back in time. The food was delicious - especially their house prickly pear BBQ sauce. We were thrilled to see someone's tie get cut off - their one rule is NO ties! The train ride was fun and enjoyable, with a fun spooky Halloween theme for the season. My kids loved the magic shop and the shooting game. This was perfect as we wrapped up our time in tuscon

My group of 19 had dinner at Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse on Saturday, September 6th. It’s a very interesting and very large restaurant. Apparently, they can accept reservations for up to 50 people, which is amazing. It is very much a “theme park” restaurant for the “wild west”. They have several buildings touting the wild west theme. They also have a small area off to the side of the restaurant with a ferris wheel and a merry-go-round with other rides and arcade games. They also have a small train that traverses the property.
Everyone pretty much ordered steak, although there were chicken and salmon (farmed – Ick!) meals available. There are really no choices for vegetarians or vegans. My husband ordered the filet mignon. It was cooked correctly, but it was very small for the price, which was a bit expensive. Nonetheless several of the diners shared the large steaks on offer and were satisfied with their choices. Everyone generally enjoyed their meals.
The wait staff were adequate and accommodating. For all large groups an automatic gratuity of 20% is added to the bills. Our waiter worked very hard to accommodate all our requests in a timely manner.
Many of us weren’t sure if we would have dinner at Pinnacle Peak again. Not for any other reason except it is really targeted towards families and large groups. This is also definitely a “beef” only restaurant as the dining choices are limited. Nonetheless it was a good Saturday night out. Of note be sure to check your credit card charges. One of our diners was charged for the entire dinner for everyone, although all of the diners had already paid for their meals.
