This place was dead but they blast the music. You can’t hear anything. They should tone it down. Also they claim they have new DJ’s playing music every now and then but I’ve been around a couple weeks in a row and it’s the exact same songs playing both times.

Stopped by just to grab some beers on the first floor. We ordered a lot of beers and plenty of appetizers, but they kept hinting and asking if we were going to order a main dish, which felt a bit awkward. We still ended up spending over $130 between the two of us. BYD, the fried calamari (tempura-style) was amazing. <5T pilsu> For the price, this kind of squid tempura is rare. Definitely order it.

I’ve always enjoyed Playground in the past and have brought friends, coworkers, and out-of-town media contacts because it has been a place I liked to highlight in Tucson. Unfortunately, during my recent visit, my group experienced an uncomfortable and unprofessional situation at the entrance.
The security guard referenced a circumstance from a few months ago something that did not happen and mentioned a person I haven’t interacted with in over a year and a half. I was never told I wasn’t welcome to return. If that were truly the case, I should have been flagged in the system and should not have been able to book a reservation or receive a call back confirming our table. I had no idea there was any supposed issue, and that lack of communication is exactly what created this situation.
My group of 12 had planned to spend over $600 on bottle service, but because of what felt like a petty and spiteful personal issue unrelated to anything that happened that night, I was not allowed to enter. Out of loyalty, my entire group chose to leave with me, and we spent the evening at Gentle Ben’s instead.
The situation left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth, and several of us agreed we won’t be returning. It’s really unfortunate, and I no longer feel comfortable recommending Playground to others after this experience.
I’m sharing this feedback in hopes management reviews what happened so future guests receive fair, consistent, and professional treatment.

I lost my phone here and left then I realized my phone wasn’t on me I tried to walk in when I was stopped by security i tried to explain I was looking form my phone they still denied me as soon as I was about to walk the unnecessarily pushed me out didn’t ask on their radios if there was a phone that was found now I have to wait until friday to get my phone

It’s a nice bar, but they only pat down men. Sure most bars do that, but a woman could come in with a weapon and they wouldn’t do anything about it, it seems. Not very safe.

No good !!!security must be drunk doesn't seem they are aware of their job my son was confused from another guest and approached and kicked out while my son was trying to explain he just got there and wasn't drunk but still got jumped by the staff I made a police report
0/10 would not recommend. Avoid coming here if you are from Texas. They will kick you out and say your VERY real Texas ID is “fake” even though the bartender said she has seen “so many Texas IDs”. I got through border patrol easier than this place.
