PY Steakhouse has some of the best food I've encountered in a while and they have some unique touches that set them apart. The logo of the restaurant was baked into the rolls. I had never seen that before. They had a special knife service to provide your steak knife which I also hadn't seen before. In addition a special burning of a rosemary branch to include it in a special butter. All very high end dining touches. While the servers were very pleasant it was obvious that they had not been trained in fine dining service like taking the orders of the ladies first, wine presentation, service style, etc. No one ever offered to refill our wine glasses leaving it up to us to pour it ourselves. I thought they also could do a better job at listening to what was told to them. For example, we had ordered a souffle but minutes later we cancelled it. We told two different people to cancel it, but it was delivered as we were getting ready to depart. The ambience of the restaurant could use some work as well. The main room was more like a cafe than a fine dining room. We were seated in a separate room where the wine cellar was and because of that it had a little more ambience, but the lighting was still too bright. This restaurant is on the brink of really becoming an outstanding venue. It's obvious whoever is running the food operation knows what they're doing. If they can get their servers up to speed, it will be at the top.

What a wonderful experience! We went March 16th (Saturday) and we had made the reservation 2 hours prior. They seated us at our reservation time and the staff were so incredibly friendly! The food was beyond what we expected! They did such a great job explaining their appetizers and entrées. Wow, I can't wait to have another occasion to come back! We've been to several steakhouses in Tucson, AZ and this is one of our favorites! Thank you guys for such a memorable night!

Service and food were both top tier! We enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Our hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome, comfortable, and VIP all at the same time. We dined with our teenage daughter and she felt at first like she was going to be out of place, but she too was put at ease by our hosts and felt “fancy”. The steakhouse Manhattan was just as described on the menu; it was fantastic. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the quality and freshness of the food was excellent. We had oysters, waygu tartare, mushroom soup, traditional filet with black truffle butter, waygu filet with foi gras and seasonal vegetables, butterscotch lava cake, and crème brule. Our servers were also knowledgeable on wine pairings and made excellent recommendations. This is fine dining and we felt the value of the experience was worth the price. Some casino fine dining seems to be “fine” only because of the price they set, but PY was a remarkable experience and reasonably priced.

Steak ordered medium rare came out medium well. Sent back and new one came out rare. Ate around the outsides and took the center home to cook more. Other patron ordered ahi tuna and discovered it was also way overcooked (no red). It was hiding under a pile of slaw. Dish overcooked and unappealing. The steak had already been sent back when this was discovered and didn't send back. Great ambience and waiter service. The kitchen was awful.

Holy wow. First and foremost the service was exemplary. Very much a "fine dining" experience and all the staff were very kind, useful, and helpful. They care about "special occasions" for why you're going out to eat. My occasion was my wife had just gotten back from deployment and they got her a welcome home card which over 10 employees signed, and it was very sweet. They also gave her a free muffin and box of chocolate truffles when we left. The food was incredible. We ordered two cocktails, ribeye, New York strip, Mac and cheese, spinach, and asparagus and I don't have anything remotely negative to say about any of it.

We tried the 5 course chef's whim menu and every course was outstanding. The service was impeccable. The only drawback was that they are currently only accepting cash so I had to run to the ATM to withdraw my daily limit to cover the bill for four people.

The food was good. I wouldn't say excellent. However, the service was fantastic. I would probably go back because of the service.

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here! The restaurant is a lot smaller than we expected. The waitstaff was great but the service was verrrry slow. We had reservations at 7pm and didn't get our drinks until 7:30pm and got our food around 8:45pm. That's quite a wait! I asked for a medium rare filet mignon, it was medium which is okay but a let down for sure and I also never got one of my sides. They did have caviar which thrilled my husband as it is his favorite. Overall the food was delicious but there were some small details that could be fixed! We had a good time though, that's all that matters.

I was blown away by the service and the food. I started with the shrimp cocktail followed by the filet and lobster with asparagus and Mac and cheese for sides (shared with a friend). I will be back next time I'm in Tucson.

We tried the beef tartar and it was great. After the appetizer we had the bass dinner and I had the duck. Everything was so good. Well worth the two hr drive. Even the managers were great. Asked about salted butter and they will make so I can order the crab legs or lobster or hay why not both. Def recommend the PY Steak House

Didn’t dine here and never will. Had an 8pm reservation. Approached the hostess stand around 4pm to inquire about an earlier time. She was on the phone and I patiently waited. Meanwhile in close proximity a suited man I assume was the manager finally stopped his blabbing to the bartender to see what I wanted. I barely got my inquiry out before he was adamant there’s “no way” I could be seated earlier. We’re “too busy” “you probably won’t be seated at your reservation time as it is”. He was rude and dismissive. When we came back at 7:55 it took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. Hostess said they were behind but had no idea what time reservation they were working on or when we would be seated. We left and went to another restaurant. At 8:40 they called from PY to see if we were coming for our 8pm reservation. On a side note, at the other restaurant we heard another patron with a similar PY experience but they say a group with out reservations slipped the maître’ d money and were seated immediately?????
