I was recommended this place by a friend. This is the most unwelcoming shop so glad I did not spend a dime. They clearly have their clientele and do not care to bring in new business. What a great business model.
Raging Sage has amazing scones. This is a small local coffee shop with a nice patio area to sit. I love an iced latte or an Italian cream soda with homemade whipped cream. There Vietnamese iced coffee is great also. They always have homemade baked goods/ desserts. They have free wifi with a purchase. They have a single person bathroom as well. Respectfully, I would encourage a blinds replacement in the bathroom.
Raging Sage Coffee was given out as a thank you gift at my sister's wedding, and I have been hooked ever since. I live in Texas and have their coffee shipped to me because it is that good.
My favorite coffee shop in Tucson. Staff is great. Pastries are the best in town. Good place to meet friends and have a conversation. Sit out on the patio, have a scone, read the paper.
Very cute!
So filthy inside 🤮. Tea was just fine.
Service could be friendlier.
I am from Seattle, Washington. I have been to 30+ coffee shops there, and about 6 in Tucson. Between every coffee shop I’ve been to and the amount of money I have spent at each one, I have never been so dissatisfied with both the coffee and the service like I have at Raging Sage.
Raging Sage does not appreciate their customers, and by reading the multitude of other negative reviews, they profile based off of looks and go out of their way to make customers uncomfortable to the fullest extent. There have been a history of poor reviews due to the barista with black hair and lots of tattoos. She is the worst.
My friend and I went here to do homework around 3pm and expected to stay until close at 10:30. Keep in mind, the longer we stay, the more drinks we buy. I started with a vanilla breve, that tasted like watered-down liquid plastic, and sat down.
Within the initial 10 minutes of being there, the black-haired barista approached my friend and rudely stated “If you are going to be taking up space, we’d appreciate you buying something”, which was unnecessary, but understandable. Before my friend even had time to finish her email and get in line, the other barista approached my friend and said the same. Again, rude, but if they are truly desperate for money then I guess I respect the persistence. I thought the attitude that was given would be the end of it, but then my friend and I literally witnessed the two baristas start to talk bad about us, publicly behind the counter.
Then the Wifi shut off. The other customers in the store asked the black-haired barista what happened, and she claimed that they restarted their router. We all soon found out that she was being dishonest, because after waiting 20 minutes for it to turn back on, I went up to the counter and asked again. Her response was extremely inappropriate. She said “oh, yes, the Wifi will come back on if your friend buys a drink. I will even give her the $2 is costs for a small coffee” alluding to the thought that my friend couldn’t afford it herself (which she clearly can). I wish I was being dramatic by saying she personally attacked my friend, but turning off everyone’s ability to gain access to wifi just to show her dominance is extremely immature.
It was belittling and straight-up disrespectful, and I have never ever experienced something so unprofessional. Even other customers in the shop recognized her bitter attitude and debated leaving.
I asked the barista with the black hair and tattoos if she was the manager, which she responded as being the owner for the past two years. You would assume after two years of experience, as well as the all of the other terrible Yelp reviews written about her, she would change the way she interacts with customers. What a shame.
Please, please, do not waste your time dealing with the rudeness of these people for less-than-satisfactory coffee.
Left place down the street...no heavy cream. Hint at any legit coffee shop...half and half is no substitute for heavy cream. Excellent iced Americano as a result. I'll be back here next time I'm in town.
Great vibe, delicious muffins, great coffee!

Awesomely great coffee. Love their lattes.
Always go there when visiting Tucson!!!
Been all around the globe having coffee at little cafes made by Jedi baristas, this place is okay. Coffee is good, little pricey for coffee but I’m sure they pay employees good. So it’s worth it. If you want to meet someone for a coffee drink it’s a nice play. Charles is the best. Friendly, happy and genuine. Everyone else is grumpy.
Enjoy.
