Risky Business Restaurant & Bar

My first time here. It was simple but we really enjoyed the selection of different toasts to enjoy our cup of coffee while we waited on our appointment. We enjoyed our morning.

This place is risky. Sometimes the food is good and then the next time it is awful. The service is slow! I’ll wait for good food but the last 3 times have been disappointing. Ive asked multiple servers for water and silverware - nothing. One time there was actually a mysterious chunk floating in my water - disgusting. Dirty chipped dishes, sticky dinning tables. The Shepards pie was nasty ..for $20 you get a coffee mug (I’m serious. A COFFEE mug) full of chewy beef topped with mashed potatoes and thick layer of cheese. We order chicken strips a fool proof dinner. It’s the last to come out after a 40 min wait with nobody in the restaurant. 3 tiny chicken strips were delivered on little skewer sticks. It was stringy and hard to get off the sticks, you have to barbarically chew around a stick to eat a chicken finger! A child’s meal, impossible and pretty dangerous to be eaten by a child. At around $20+ per plate go somewhere else.

Worst server we have ever had took over 10 minutes to refill drinks after I had to wave him down to ask for refill never came back to see if we needed anything after food was delivered and he wasn't busy so no reason for the bad service

What a sad decline from its heyday.
Lunch was fine, place was empty but clean. No ambiance. Service was friendly but staff basically disappeared into the back ?

Update: took off a star for disappointing market salad on return. Missing key ingredients, salmon was ridiculously small for $7. They took $5 off but it was small bagged salad with corn. Took another star because Every visit has been sliding down. Obviously problem in kitchen. Not dependable and that is a big problem when there's inconsistent food quality. Probably won't return. First and second visit: Extensive menu. Meatloaf was enough for 2 or 3 people. Delicious mushroom gravy. Market salad was outstanding. Sweet potato fries are the best I've had anywhere in the US. Reuben was good, first Reuben was better than second. Fish and chips good. We came back for Mother's Day and brought friends.

4 of us sat outside of parking lot with fan. Excellent service, owner and waiter checked back frequently. Large fresh portions with varied menu. Highly recommend for lunch. Grant was waiter.

The server was great, leisurely service. Seat yourself. The food was delicious! I got a harvest salad, others got ribs, chicken sandwich, fish tacos. Nice atmosphere and good place to eat

It’s a big ol’ sport’s bar, but the food was surprisingly good. We had a Monterey chicken sandwich with onion rings, and a fish and chips. The sandwich was served as described, and the $2. extra for rings was worth it. Whole onion rings dunked in batter and deep fried. Ditto for the fish. Neither had that breadcrumb coating that I despise. All the food was hot and came out quickly. They also had some of the best Cole slaw I’ve ever eaten! Our server Cole was brand new, but he was terrific. He was friendly, attentive, and professional.
