*UPDATE: Word is that as of 5/28/24 all employees were fired & Roberts is closed! They are making it into a meat market like the owners other businesses. . . could that have been the plan in the first place? What a shame!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very sad that within a few months the new owners have ruined a 45 year old business. They have run off the loyal regular customers and long time staff that kept the business running. At this point they should just change the name because what made Robert's is no longer. One of my last visits the chicken fried steak was so thin and over cooked that it wasn't edible. The bread that they make toast AND French toast with, has been changed to a thin slice which is half that of store bought! You only get one free refill of coffee and then have to purchase another cup! I've NEVER heard of this ANYWHERE ELSE! The breakfast specials that once include a drink, no longer do. The concoctions they call new dishes are ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and find another local diner to support.

My absolute most favorite breakfast spot in town! We drive from the northwest side often to have breakfast at Robert's. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing, biscuits and gravy is served every day and 10/10 delicous.

New ownership has ruined Robert’s chicken fried steak was awful. Used to be great. All three orders were wrong in one way or another. To bad we really liked it before.

This is a great place. Very friendly staff and the food was excellent. Wish they were open later for those of us who like to sleep in a little more.

We ordered pancakes, cheddar bacon omlet, and decaf coffee. The 2 pancakes were huge enough for 2. They looked great and tasted great. The omelet & hashbrowns looked great, but the omlet was like none I had ever had before. The greasy bacon looked like it had been ground up and layered into the omlet; very different. I don't know if this is normal since I haven't eaten here in 5 years. BTW, the toast that came with the omlet was fantastic! The first batch of decaf had definitely been sitting a while. The server came back around with a fresh batch later into the meal. The bill was nearly $25,a little pricey, in my opinion. There are no senior items on the menu.

This place has unfortunately really gone down hill over the past year. Shockingly rude waiters. After our last visit, we won't be returning.

First time stopping by, there was a bit of a wait between sitting down and actually getting the order taken, but it was decently busy. Ordered the lumberjack with bacon and chorizo gravy. It was awesome. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, the biscuits were a more heavy texture, more like my grandmothers biscuits back home than those puffy things people make from cans. The gravy was really flavorful, just an all around good time. Didn't much care for the pie though.

The truth is that I was super delighted with the attention that was offered to me from everyone who works at Robert's restaurant. I was surprised that the chef Andres came out to ask me how everything had been. I answered him with excellent breakfast and customer service.wow I recommend this Restaurant one of the best in Tucson AZ!!

Really good chefs. El italiano chef andres y el otro Papago chef. Really good breakfast food. I recommend the chilaquiles with the red chili salsa freshly made.
