Very good service.the barbershop greated you when going into the shop. They did a really good job with my son's hair. They used scissors instead of clippers to cut the top of his hair.

I found Selena’s Salvadoran Restaurant at a farmers market by the U of A Med School and I’m so glad I stopped by. I got the vegan jackfruit tamales and they were so flavorful. Perfectly seasoned and really satisfying! The service was also great, super friendly and welcoming. Definitely looking forward to finding them again!

Last Sunday, we decided to drop by Selena’s for pupusas. We are already familiar with and enjoy Selena’s pupusas from the Rillito farmers market, and we have been meaning to try the restaurant.

When we got there, it looked full of people, and at first we thought there were no seats.

A lovely young woman directed us to a table and got us settled in. There was a large group of people next to us and other customers who kept the server quite busy, but she was amazingly attentive to the needs of everyone.

AND the pupusas were served warm and full of good stuff. We especially like the vegetarian ones.

We first had pupusas years ago in San Salvador and are so glad to find a place in Tucson where we can get good ones. We’ll for sure go back to Selena’s.

The best papusas I've ever had! I've had papusas before and they were dry but these were so cheesy and delicious. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

On the date of 10/24/2025 at 6:15 pm I received the most Rude Disrespectful cashier waitress. I have never had that kind of behavior at any restaurant that I have been to. If she is not happy doing her job don't be there at all. Never will i take my family friends coworks or advise people I know to go eat there. Why the horrible customer service skills that is being provided. Remember I was a paying customer keeping your business afloat in this economy. 1 -10 A.Big 0

I have been here many times and always walked away incredibly joyous from the experiences me and my appetite have shared. However last April, I had a more special experience that I wish to share.

It was late April and I was in Tucson for the Tucson Tango Festival (which also deserves 5 stars, but that's another story.) I was the president of the ASU Tango Club and was looking for a restaurant for our group meal that would show my appreciation for them all (with a few exceptions, but that's another another story.)

The restaurant I chose was Salena's and I was glad I did, the only thing I regretted... as that I didn't think to call in a reservation ahead of time. We gave them a call and asked if they could manage a party of fifteen people. They said 'Sure, is it for tomorrow?' 'No, today' 'Oh.'

Obviously poor planning on our part. However when we got there, we found the tables pushed together and proceeded to have an amazing experience full of tostones, pupusas and lots of other treats, including amazing drinks!

It was a wonderful experience. I feel very lucky that I was able to take part in it. Although one of our members was cranky that we weren't getting pizza instead(despite her lactose intolerance) and she left to get pizza next door. But even that contributed to the atmosphere.

Love this place. Also they play fun music too.
