Solid Grindz Hawaiian BBQ

Went for a lunch date today after reading such positive reviews, and I’m so happy we did! The employees are so friendly, meals are delicious & cooked to perfection, and the portions are great for the price. If you’re looking for delicious Hawaiian BBQ, I highly recommend Solid Grindz!

Oh my goodness! It was pay day, so I had to treat myself and I ordered the mix plate. The Kalbi is always delicious; the bang shrimp is banging; rice is always sticky and fresh; the staff is courteous, efficient and have a great vibe. Just the best meal I could have ever had! The hours are now posted in the window, so I’ll make sure I snap a picture because I usually crave them and they’re not on base. But when I see the truck… I’m so happy! Definitely order a meal or three from them! I didn’t take pictures because I had to eat and do my happy dance…

It's located in an old bar. That's a dive but the food is outstanding so don't let the bar scare you away

Stopped in looking for a new place to eat. The food was great and a decent price for a fairly large portion. The employees were very friendly! Will definitely be returning to play some pool and enjoy some katsu 🔥

First time here. Was craving teriyaki chicken after about a three year withdrawal. The Tuna Mac salad is so light, creamy and delicate. The biggest surprise! Steamed veg was only broccoli, the only minor disappointment (maybe offer a medley). The chicken and rice were exceptional. Excellent char and umami flavor in the chicken. Rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly.

The entire order was also a large portion with a third/added side. With a tip, was around $20 and yielded two large meals out of it. Excellent value!

The place was doing great business the few minutes I was waiting, and the menu has a lot of great options and combinations. Located in a nice, dive bar. A surprise gem in SE Tucson! Definitely will be back!

Absolutely delicious!

One if the Most authentic Hawaiian food in the main land. Kalbi ribs, kalua pork and shrimp was delicious. Spam musubi was so good! So into the food missed taking pics but sides were ricas!

Best local kine food in Tucson. Simple menu so everything is good. Large and small portions. Their hours are a small window but worth it. Staff is always friendly.

We tried Solid at the Japanese Festival yesterday and it was sooooo good and the portions were so generous that we had enough food left over to eat it for dinner too! Unreal.

Food was really good!! The portions are 🤩 We were able to bring the kiddos in during the day, which is nice. It's located in a bar so I wasn't sure at first, but they assured me that kids can come in. The shrimp was huge! Loved everything!

I had the 2 meat combo, bang shrimp and teriyaki chicken. I would of preferred the bang shrimp sauce on the side. But overall delicious.

Loved the combination Hawaiian food and bar. Can't wait to try other selections.
