Whoa, 1st encounter since they opened. Straight coffee was very underwhelming and at freaking $7 for a pastry was laughable. Won't return.

Very welcoming atmosphere! Food was amazing and the attention to detail was impressive, my sandwich had the cutest cactus decorative picks! Drinks were perfectly served and refreshing! So glad this place is close to work and always seems to be open too!

Love the original location and I really want this place to succeed as I have watched the last few businesses that have opened at the old Rincon space struggle.
I ordered from the coffee bar and when I asked the counter person what was in the pastry they literally rolled their eyes and said “I don’t know water, eggs, flour, butter”… and so I stopped her and said “OK so no fruit or nuts, just a plain basic pastry then?” and they replied with a very exhausted “I guess”. After, I got my coffee drink they were out of cream and simple syrup, which was not a big deal but it’s located to the side where the baristas where the baristas can not see it and you can’t easily catch their attention so you have to walk around back to the front to let them know. My friend ordered a sandwich and when it was delivered she was not given any utensils or a napkin. She asked the server if she could have some and the server stomped away, went over to the coffee bar couldn’t find anything then turned around, gave our table a dirty look, went over to the restaurant side of the space and finally brought it and then came back and gave it to my friend. The other server who took her drink order, told her that the flavored tea was basically a black tea that tasted like nothing so my friend asked for that because she said she didn’t like flavored tea and when she received it, it tasted very much like mango. She mentioned it to the server later and the server just shrugged and didn’t offer anything else.
I worked in restaurants and coffee shops up and down the west-coast for years and I definitely had my moments of punk rock snarkiness but these kids were just apathetic and it seemed like they didn’t care at all. I hope this location can figure it out because I like the concept but the service was BAD.

We had a wonderful experience here! Nini is amazing, she was so helpful recommending red wine that went perfectly with our grinder sandwich. Even though she was very busy making drinks and helping the servers, she still made it a point to check on us. We will be back!

I wanted to enjoy this place but it missed the mark. Very cute but the coffee counter is so small and congested, way too small for how large the space is so you end up waiting for a long time to get your drinks. I’d also say, as a POC, this environment didn’t feel welcoming for us. The barista butchered my name on the cup which caused confusion when our drinks were called. We got the s’mores cold brew and blueberry pancake latte, didn’t love either. Not sure we’d go back.

My partner and I had dinner here last night and really enjoyed the food. everything was fresh and the atmosphere was great. The only small issue was the service felt a bit distracted. It wasn’t super busy, but our server spent quite a bit of time behind the bar making drinks. So our water glasses sat empty for a while and dishes piled up a bit. Not a huge deal, just something that stood out on an otherwise nice evening

We were excited to try Sonoran House, but left disappointed. We were sat at a table right away, but waited 20 minutes for our server to come to the table. With no apologies, we ordered drinks and dinner. After receiving drinks, the martini wasn’t great, very briny. The server never asked about the martini that was hardly touched. She never refilled waters, never checked on our meal. She did stop by 3x to ask if we were ready for boxes, as if she was ushering us out the door. There was significant amount of staff, but our waters sat empty, dirty dishes piled up….super disappointing.

If you love coffee, you have to try The Sonoran House! ☕️ Their in-house roasted beans make for one of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had—I loved it so much I went back for seconds. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced.
The food here is a complete bonus. The Breakfast Crunchwrap and Guajillo Garlic Chicken Melt are made with fresh, local ingredients and full of Sonoran flavor. Portions are generous, so come hungry!
What makes the experience even better is the vibe—local Tucson and Arizona-based, a warm atmosphere, and friendly customer service that makes you feel right at home. There are plenty of tables and inviting spaces to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with friends.
And if you’re looking for great, local Tucson items or gifts, their market is fantastic; ceramics, candles, wine, craft beer and more.
For exceptional coffee, tasty bites, and a true Tucson experience, The Sonoran House is a must-visit. 🌵✨
