Amazing customer service from the lady watching the self check out line just now. She is young, I didn't catch her name.She was so polite so nice so helpful. I was standing in line and there were two open self checkouts but there were peoples carts blocking the way and she was able to come assist and politely move them for me so I can move forward. And she was polite enough to take my cart and correct a discount on the screen for me that pulled up incorrect. She was so polite great customer service very helpful, she is the reason I'll come back. Although the Starbucks employees were on their phone when I walked up. They didn't acknowledge me when I was standing there staring at her. When my order was ready they didn't even tell me and I was standing right in front of her.

On Labor Day, Sept. 6, 2021at approximately 11am, my daughter and I visited the Safeway location on Prince and Campbell to order food from the deli. We were greeted rather rudely by a tall, young, Caucasian male, who appeared less than enthusiastic about helping us. We ordered a sandwich for which we requested the bread to be toasted. His response was not only rude, it was downright racist. Although we have ordered the same sandwich in the past and have had it toasted, this young man proceeded to refuse to toast the bread and stated, "We don't do that. We cannot prepare the food that way since you're paying with food stamps." At no time was payment ever discussed. This individual took it upon himself to profile my daughter and me and did so in public. I cannot describe the embarrassment that this caused us. While we have nothing against those who use the available resources available to the public, we had absolutely no intention of using food stamps and paid for our meals using our hard earned money. This needs to be addressed and the individual needs to be reprimanded by management. We have been loyal customers of Safeway for years and felt absolutely shocked at the treatment we received that day. Please do better, Safeway.

A guy and gal were working as a team, he took my order and was super nice and friendly, very upbeat which made me smile! They were also friendly with each other and having good conversation and obviously work well together which is nice to see. My drink was made perfectly and super fast!
