One of my favorite events in Tucson is their monthly burlesque show on the first Friday of the month. Relaxed, somewhat campy, and super fun atmosphere allows for a good time for all.

I never made it in, as the man at the door refused to accept my U.S. produced work authorization card (which led me in to every other place in the country). He told me they only accept such documents from Canadian citizens, which is something I still can’t wrap my head around. He took his job very seriously, so the bar lost out on business for the night, as my group had to go someplace else.
The new karaoke lady was playing the karaoke songs at high speed. It was making me doubt my sanity. Both the key and tempo were throwing me off.

Very cool bar in 4th avenue in downtown Tucson. I stopped by in a Thursday (karaoke night apparently) and had some tots and a “cherry limeade”. Staff was friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were top notch. This whole area of downtown is loaded with cool bars and shops but this place stood out to me on my visit.
