Had really good sushi and Korean food for lunch here while visiting Tucson. The kimchi was fresh, flavorful, and had some heat. All of the food was prepared very well. I’m half Korean and grew up eating food made by my grandmother. This food is so close what she used to make and it really brings back good memories from my childhood. All of the banchan was fresh and delicious. There was a really nice assortment of banchan to choose from as well…not just kimchi and radish...
Good experience however the bulgogi was not as flavorful as it used to be. Still good food and plenty of sides. And service was iffy. Had to search for the server a couple minutes all 3 times we needed her. Even asked a different server to get our waitress once. I would still go back but I would pick tagoki first next time.
Takamatsu is an older restaurant here in Tucson. The customer service is good and the food quality is right for the money. The re is a huge selection of food both in the Korean bbq section and in their sushi menu. They also have a pretty large selection of korean foods and soups. My family and I come here fairly often. I would recommend people check them out and see if they are a right for you.
