We had a reservation, but we were turned away! Unbelievable! My husband clicked on the website on Oct 29 to get a reservation for the 31st, at 7:15. He got a confirmation email on the 30th, and received another friendly reminder the day of the reservation. We arrived on time to find a note on the door saying the restaurant would close at 7:00 for Halloween. We went inside to see the crew sweeping up and the kitchen closed. We were sent away with nothing more than a mumbled sorry and a shrug. That's it. Nothing else. We could have gone to McDonalds for all they cared. And to rub salt in the wound, we received a text message the next day thanking us for dining there! Theresa's is in our neighborhood, which is why it has been something of a favorite for us. The food is great even if their service has been sometimes shaky since reopening. But this takes the cake. We've made hundreds of reservations in our lifetime in across the U.S. and Europe. Not once has anyone ever taken our booking and refused to honor it. Until now. What a sorry way to treat your customers.
Authentic mexican food with an inviting atmosphere. They even give you mild and spicy salsa for all preferences. Gotta have the hand made tortillas. The churos are amazing too. Looking forward to going back when visiting Tuscon.

We order from Teresa’s quite often and order the 3 crispy machaca tacos with beans and rice; and a machaca chimichanga. I picked up my order today and brought it home. Although I paid for what I ordered we found that there were no beans, there also was no salsa and normally both meals we ordered comes with a little container of salsa. Then to top it all off, one of the three tacos in our meal was just an empty taco shell. This is unbelievable. No salsa, no beans, and an empty taco shell. So I got half of what I ordered.

We waited at least 2 hours for food we ended up asking them to do boxes. The beans taste burnt the chile relleno chicken was dry beyond edible. The rice was disgusting. The service was horrible the wait staff are so rude. I hate that we even wasted my time here. Save yourself the time

Came in and the host saw me right away. Left me standing there for about 10 minutes, then proceeded to immediately help some gentlemen who came in after me. Left me waiting for another 10. Terrible service
Though we live 45 min away we will return. Some of the best Mexican food in the area...with the Oaxaca food items a nice option. The Cheese and Green Chili Crisp was excellent with the chili's having a bit of bite but not crazy hot. I can't eat cilantro so the waiter brought a side of red chili sauce instead of salsa for me. It was excellent! We shared the #15 platter of machaca tacos, cheese enchilada and bean tostada. All excellent. Will be more adventurous the next time! Service, atmosphere, prices all excellent.
When for lunch. They look unorganized. Stop coming and going with no designated areas. We did not receive our chips and salsa before a meal they also gave us the wrong order. To top it off it was burnt. Taco looked like it's been in seating around for quite some time.they prep that taco at least 2 hrs ago and been sitting under the warming light for quite some time.
I don't understand how people can overate this place. Sorry will not be coming back. Very disappointed

Maybe it was just an off day? The food was great but the service was disappointing. First the hostess gave us the wrong menus, then we had to wait 15 minutes before our waitress even showed up to take our order and realized we had the wrong menu. She brought us our drinks but never brought us the correct menus or took our order. We ended us looking the menu up from our phones. She came back after another 15 minutes after realizing that she never took our order. The food was really good though and came out quickly. Then we had to wait forever for the check. We were there for over 2 hours just for breakfast. I'm sure it was just an off day and service is usually better than that. It was just kind of a bummer because I've heard such great things.
