As always, we were delighted with the ambiance, service and food at HDS. One shortcoming in our estimation was that the Enchiladas Suiza were quite dry, demanding more sauce or more tenderizing of the chicken. Otherwise, quite good.
Great waiter ( Darren) and unexpected treat of live music ( Spanish-flavored guitar)! The drinks ( two different styles of martinis) and food (cheeseburger and chicken mole) hit the spot. One of my favorite places to take out of town guests.
While not as upscale as the restaurant, this restaurant is lovely. Our server was exceptionally efficient and friendly. All of our meals and drinks were great and just what we needed that late in the evening. To finished a perfect meal, we sat by the firepit with our dessert drinks where we were welcomed by another staff member.
This is by far the worst ever food experience we have had in the Tuscon area. The steak that we ordered was rancid. The chicken tasted like old stale meat. Stay away. Look at my profile. I eat out a lot. Do not waste your money. The reviews on Open Table are NOT an accurate representation of the quality of food that you consume at this restaurant. It was absolutely disgusting.
We loved the ambience and the friendly service. The food was inventive, which we enjoy. The service was very good. Appreciate Michelle's suggestions and helpful info on what to order and any flavor combinations we may find curious. Love to travel to AZ for restaurant week. Sedona, Scottsdale and now Tucson. Will return to Hacienda del Sol for extended stay
The music this evening was particularly enjoyable for me. Hacienda del Sol is a wonderful experience. The views, decor, architecture, and culinary offerings are exquisite experiences for visitors to Tucson and the desert southwest. The Terraza Garden Patio & Lounge offer an elegant experience at affordable pricing. The Grill is an exquisite experience too, one I share with my out of town visitors as often as the Terraza.
Visited during Sonoran Restaurant Week. It was one of the best meals we've had an long time. Three unique and excellent courses paired with appropriate wines. All at a fair price.
Last night we arranged for an early dinner at the Terrazza with two guests who are hearing impaired, in order to be finished before the start of the live music. Unfortunately, the music started earlier than anticipated, and the performance was very loud. We could not converse with our guests, who were physically uncomfortable and had to turn off their hearing aids because of the music's high volume. Fortunately, the staff - Michelle our server and manager Grayson - dealt with our concerns immediately, with great care and consideration. They quickly found us alternative seating where we could enjoy conversing with our friends away from the music. The courtesy and graciousness that they extended to us were outstanding, and very much appreciated. We are Tucson residents who have enjoyed dining at the Hacienda del Sol Grille and Terrazza frequently over the past 30-plus years. The current management and dining staff have exceeded our high expectations for fine dining, excellent service, and attention to the needs of their guests. We will be back often, and will enjoy introducing many more friends to the Hacienda del Sol Terrazza.
Loved the prime rib tacos. Quite tasty. The music with Pete Swan's trio is a real draw, too.
Great food and service. The patio was perfect and beautiful views. I would recommend for sure if you are in the area

Great evening out celebrating a friend's birthday. Michelle our wait staff was excellent and attentive. Enjoyed the appetizer special and the burger. So yummy!! Can't wait to go back.
Great food. Our server was wonderful and so helpful as was the rest of the staff. Cool, casual place. Highly recommend.
I ordered the blackened salmon greens and potato bowl. It was beautifully presented Our server, Michelle recommended 2 wines and brought us a sampler of each so we could decide. Michelle is an excellent and attentive server. She gave us a card and flyer about future events. When we complimented how much we enjoyed our meal she even asked the Chef to visit our table. Great gal When we revisit the Hacienda I will definitely make sure she is working and request her as our server. A credit to the resort!
What a lovely place to join friends for a happy hour. Our waitress Michelle was an absolute delight. She was fun and easy to chat with and she is very knowledgeable of the food and drink menu. The music was great! And so glad it was just the guitar, so we weren't distracted by a song or extra background noise. The happy hour food menu was lean, it could use some more protein or salad options besides fish and tacos. I ordered the surf and turf special and it wasn't particularly special. The mashed potatoes were cold and bland. I had the shrimp put on a side plate for my friends to share, but the steak sauce was only on the shrimp, leaving my steak rather flavorless too. No, I didn't send anything back or complain. Maybe an off night. Next time we go, and I'm sure we will, I will speak up if my food order isn't right.
The food was not very good overall. My tilapia street tacos didn't have but a couple chunks of fish. Other people at the table struggled with level of spice. One took one bite of her poke bowl and that was it. The roast beef sandwich was delicious. We all felt the champagne and wine by the bottle was overpriced, selling what we could get at grocery store for 3x the amount. With all that said the servers were great and the ambiance is nice. Not sure it would be my pick next time with the group we where with. Thanks for asking.
