I went into this restaurant with a friend this evening. We couldn’t find a host to seat us. When we were sat it took a while to get a server to help us. We never really had one. I think the bartender took our order and someone else ended up cashing us out in the end. The food was a D- . Both me and my friend did not like it. Also the bathroom was not to clean. I have heard professional chefs say you can bet the way a restaurant keeps their bathroom is how they keep their kitchen. Sad to say I won’t be returning as overall the service and food were so terrible.

Hostess completely ignored us she just sat there. If you want good drinks and a lively atmosphere this is the place. However, food was super cold “Latino Pizza and no flavor, Nachos with birria no flavor...Chips and Salsa were bland as well. Place has great potential.

We called ahead and clarified that we were put on the waiting list when we arrived. The hostess told us we can have a drink at the bar while waiting on the table. After about an hour of waiting on a table and seeing the waiting area clear out, the hostess acknowledged she took me off the list when questioned. She then began to argue that I was not on the list because I requested to be taken off of the list per a conversation that I had with her, which could only have occurred during the time I was in the male restroom. I did not have any other conversation after I told her we will wait for our table while we have a drink at the bar. The table we sat at was directly behind her (10 feet away). She could have asked for clarification at any point if she was confused. It’s unfortunate that I had family from out of town that I brought to this establishment instead of anywhere else in Tucson but the quality of service was poor from the hostess. The waitress was nice. We paid our bill in full and she was tipped. We ended up having to sit at the bar when the hostess responded with “I can add you back to the list”.Recommendation is to constantly follow up with the hostess. Our mistake was telling her twice that we are waiting on a table. It sometimes requires more repetition than telling someone twice. It’s unfortunate because this establishment could be better managed. This is purely a reflection of poor management and training. Staff, especially the ones that greet customers, shouldn’t lie or argue with customers. A simple “I’m sorry and will make sure you have the next table” would have solved all the problems. Instead it’s a lie and deflecting blame back onto the customer and then further disrespecting the customer by adding them back in line. Even if she was confused as to how to handle the situation, simply saying “I’m sorry but let me get my manager” can diffuse a situation. This all comes down to training. We weren’t looking for anything but the common respect that any customer deserves. Who we are is a reflection of how we were raised and how we are guided by the leaders that influence us.The only thing I want from this is management to do their job and train the girl at the front. She deserves that as an employee. Given the business’s reply, I am satisfied if they follow through.*I have edited this for clarification and changed the rating on the food and service based on the waitress, food, and atmosphere which is inline with most customers.

The atmosphere is very latin kitchen. Our server Karen was upbeat and friendly. First off the chips were served and they were ok. The salsa was really good with a slight kick. We got two house margs which were really good but mostly ice, see pic. We ordered the Street Elote and the Queso appetizers. The cheese was not real warm when we got it and had to cut it with a knife and the Elote was boiled too long and watery. Then I got the Tortilla Soup which was delicious and my husband got the Cubano. The sandwich was good but the plate had a smallish sandwich and the rest of the large plate was fries, which were good. We had wanted to try this place for a while but the price didn't match the quality so I don't think, with all the amazing restaurants in Tucson, that we'll return.

Food was horrible. We ordered pancakes for my son and we were told they don't have syrup because they just started offering pancakes ??. I ordered short ribs for myself, it was sooo tuff to eat and burned I could barely eat it. No manger around. Our server was the only best thing from this restaurant! We won't be going back !

The atmosphere is pretty awesome. In fact, it's quite beautiful here. That's where the experience ends. The food is overall just ok and some of the food we had was just plain horrible.I ordered a birria burrito. It had so much salt I thought I was drinking the sea. I did complain about how over-salted it was, I was simply told that is how we make it. I normally don't complain about my food, but.this was just so bad I figured I would say something about it.The problem is that the beans and rice were also over-salted, but at least somewhat edible. I couldn't finish my food and had it sent back. My appetite at that point was lost just because all I could taste was salt at that point. When we asked for a manager, we were told there was no manager at that time.If you are going to open a restaurant of this caliber in Tucson, you better be sure it meets all the expectations. This is just overpriced and pig with make-up on it. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I will not be back. There are other places that offer a similar atmosphere, but the food is 10x better than this place. Instead of taking my concerns seriously at the restaurant, the staff tried to gaslight me into thinking the food was normal and to top it off, there was no manager to address my concerns either. If it wasn't for the way the staff approached the issue, I would have just left it alone and I wouldn't be writing this review.

Never been so thought we would give it a try. Place was busy which was promising but...when we walked in, the hostess asked what she could do for us. Ummm...how about find us a table to start with. She sat is at a 2 top in what could be decribed as the hallway by the kitchen. We were brought store bought chips with a very nice salsa...had some heat to it so that was nice.I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas. My wife ordered the Shrimp burger with no bacon or fries. The Enchiladas were very small and drenched in Poblano cream sauce which overpowered everything else. I could only eat 2.The Shrimp burger had 2 large onion rings on it for some reason. The shrimp coating was burned and the shrimp was soggy like a paste. And it had fries and my wife reminded the waitress...no fries. The waitress said " well, they put tjem on by mistake so go ahead and eat them".Needless to say, she didnt eat the meal.Later, the waitress came back to check on us, didnt ask if things were ok or if there was a problem, but asked if she could clear the plates and if we wanted desert.Silly us, we thought we might as well see if the flan gets any better. We were wrong.Flan should have a custard consistency. Theirs was like cheesecake. The carmel sauce was obviously burnt. The waitress dropped of the ticket and said thanks.Oh well...never know until you try a place. Wont be back
