I was recently in town visiting family and noticed it while having a weekend night out for some drinks on Fourth Avenue - I’m not sure how new it is but I hasn’t seen it before and thought it looked pretty cool!
Its Boxyard name comes from the various shipping containers that make up most of the buildings inside. It reminded me of Container Park in Las Vegas and similar places in Downtown Austin. I’m very excited that Tucson has a place like this now too!!
We were there on a Saturday night, so it was very crowded with a DJ playing in the back, yet it was still open and spacious enough to have plenty of breathing room.
I also loved how there’s more than one bar for grabbing drinks at and a few food options - we got a couple of smash burgers from Daddyburger inside and they were GREAT!! Took a little while to be ready but it was a busy Saturday night, so understandable. Definitely make sure to add the arugula and pickles to it - loved the extra textures and crunch. The burger hit the spot and the fries were solid McDonald’s type fries.
Other food options inside included a Mexican food/burrito spot with several vegan options and also a sandwiches/snacks thing!
We ended up just eating, drinking, and dancing to the music the whole night there. It was a blast!!
It also looked like a great spot for just hanging out or getting some food whenever during the day or the week. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

We went the the snack today for lunch. I ordered the cheese steak and hubby ordered a tapanada type sandwich. Forgot the name. But oh so yummy. Service was great and fast. Best cheese steak I have had in an extremely long time. Tasty moist not overcooked and the flavor was out of this world. Hubby sandwich was recommended by a patron sitting there already. He said you won’t be disappointed and he was so right. Best tasting sandwich. It had salami ham Asiago pesto lettuce tomato and so much more. He loved it. Portion size is huge. We both took home half of our sandwiches. Yall check out the snack. You won’t be disappointed. The owner is super personable and a great guy.
It's pretty decent. Some fantastic dining options and a unique and quirky ambiance. Prices are pretty average for any night out. As with many places in Tucson it seems like a UofA annex most nights. I sort of wish they'd open something with a less collegiate clientele.
