We celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Grill. It was our first time and we were seated at a window table to two overlooking the Catalina mountains to the North and the Tucson sunset to the West. It was Sonoran restaurant week and we chose the restaurant week menu with wine pairings. The charred Caesar salad and filet mignon were exceptional. Our server Nick was the most attentive server we've ever had. He made our evening over-the-top special. We loved the live piano music during our meal. 5 stars for the Grill.
We have been to the Grill at Hacienda del Sol, but this was our first visit during Restaurant Week. This year, the Grill was included in their offerings. They did a phenomenal job with a 3-course dinner with a wine pairing. The Filet was quite larger and perfectly cooked. At a price of just $55 it was a bargain. Hacienda del Sol is one of the very best restaurants in the Foothills and perfect for a special occasion.
I have had nothing but outstanding experiences at the Hacienda since 1990, when I first moved to Tucson. This included private dinners with visiting international University guests, a number of them University presidents. Therefore, the Sunday brunch was literally a shocking experience. Everything was againrather ideal, but the food was almost inedible.
The service was excellent. The food was amazing. Definitely get the scallop appetizer. Delicious!
We always receive, "first class" service. The food is outstanding as well as the service. We had Angelo serving us and he always has a smile on his face and gives us exceptional service. Thank you. Keep up the good work!!!!! Wayne & Debra McGiboney
Absolutely lovely time celebrating at Hacienda Del Sol! The staff was incredibly attentive and polite! Wanted to shout out the sommelier David and our server Ricky for a great night!
Excellent food and service. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. View are amazing!
When I made the reservation to stay at Hacienda del Sol, I mentioned that I was vegan. I also called and spoke to someone at the host stand before our stay. I was assured that there are always vegan options. The website and menus also indicate that there are vegan options. In my experience, at a place with a price point and reputation like The Grill, the chef is often very accommodating and adept at putting something together on the fly, so I really wasn't worried. Apparently there is just one vegan option each night, and this night it was a risotto with shiitake mushrooms, asparagus, and cauliflower (is it even a vegan meal at a non-vegan restaurant if it doesn't have cauliflower?). It left a lot to be desired, and the overwhelming coconut milk flavor made me feel queasy and unable to eat as much as my hunger would have liked. The server seemed very busy - he was friendly and tried to be helpful, but he also seemed too rushed to go out of his way to figure anything out. It was fine, a very mediocre, mid-level meal. I'm sure it's a great place if you eat steak.
Amazing brunch the best in tucson. Staff is on par quick speedy very exceptional. Could never ask for a better experience. Must try
This was the first time visiting and the wait staff was almost rude and carded my daughter and her friend. Why would grown adults take their children to this place if they were under age? that was fine but it just felt that they were less than cordial. Beautiful venue and good experience but not the great experience I envisioned given the price point and the celebratory mood we were in prior to dining there. However I will give them another opportunity to shine but I am not in rush to go back.

Ok. Where to start. A) we made Father’s Day reservation’s a month out B) we arrived on time and were sat on the enclosed patio in the far corner with zero cooling. It’s 112 degrees out in Tucson today. They have fans set up but only blowing hot air. C) the service was painfully slow. Had to get our own water. They didn’t clear plates very often. The. Only offered 30.00 off the bill of 350.00! So I ate in complete sweat, had no amazing service and then charged 350!!! What are these people smoking? It’s insane. The food and beverage manager came out and gave me half off. Which I am including in this review as it is fair for what experience I had. So thank you to him! The food itself was good but being so hot we didn’t really get to enjoy it.
Wow—just wow! That was our reaction the moment we arrived for dinner at this stunning spot. From the moment we stepped into the yard, we were blown away by the view. Watching the sunset from the gardens was absolutely magical, and the setting itself is just as charming—lush, peaceful, and full of history. It’s a registered historic place, and now I truly wish we had booked our stay at the hotel here!
We were part of a large dinner group of 30 and had a private room for the evening. The experience couldn’t have been more perfect. I cannot say enough about the incredible wait staff—Jesus and another gentleman took such attentive care of us, anticipating every need with genuine warmth and professionalism.
And the food? Check out the photos I posted—it tasted every bit as amazing as it looks. The entire evening was unforgettable. Between the beautiful venue, the exceptional service, and the incredible food, this is an absolute must when visiting Tucson!
Celebrated my sisters birthday here. The food was delicious. We had halibut, steak, risotto with seafood and more. The service was very good and the view is spectacular.
The valet parking is complimentary if you dine at the restaurant.
Another wonderful dinner at the Grill. Service, food, beverages and atmosphere is A+. One of the finest restaurants in Southern Arizona. We will be back. 🔆🌵🌄
The food is great, and the service is even better. They go out of their way to accommodate diners, and we are never disappointed.
