Transplant Detroit Style Pizza

A BIG SHOUT OUT to Transplart for dropping off pizzas for our lunch at London Town Barbers & KC'S Hair & More today! It was awesome!!! Thank u to your team!

Literally drove from PHX area to Tucson yesterday just for this pizza! They have THE BEST gluten free focaccia pizza! None of that thin communion cracker crap.
(Nothing against communion. 😇)

Let's start with I'm from Detroit, so I have eaten a LOT of Detroit style pie and this isn't it. It was dry and didn't have nearly enough sauce. The sauce was also bland. We kept adding crushed red pepper on top to try and get it to taste like something. It needed more cheese on that first layer. I will say though that the size of the cuts and the crispy edges were good. We also ordered a salad, which had lots of brown pieces in it. I never want to pick lettuce out and then be left with 75%. Pro tip: Either tear the lettuce or cut it with a plastic knife to avoid it turning brown. Sadly, that is our first and last pie from Transplant. Happily, we are going home to visit in a couple of months so we will get to enjoy the real thing.

Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich I have had in all of Tucson. Also, the person who was running it was beyond sweet and remade my French fries for me because I was late picking them up. They didn’t know I had a hard medical procedure that afternoon, but them remaking my fries for me totally made my day!

Can’t wait to come back with my girlfriend and sit and play games and eat pizza and play games.

The new menu is a great upgrade!

Let's not forget that Pizza = junk food. It is supposed to be unhealthy but tasty. The pizza here is definitely a grease and salt bomb, but that's it. Got a double pepperoni and it was not good. Just felt like I needed a shower after eating it.

Now the service....I am sick of tipping culture. I refuse to tip when a tablet is shoved in your face at the counter with the worker staring at you, judging you if you don't add 20% for fast food service. Happened at this place. Got a dirty look from the counter person when I chose 0% tip, and they basically just shoved the food on the table when our order came up. If they want more money, they should just charge a bit more. I'm used to higher prices and would probably just pay, but purposely giving attitude for not tipping just makes me not want to come back here ever, nor would I recommend to anyone even if the food was good (which it was not).

Second time to Tuscon from Phoenix and second visit to this pizza shop. Cute and clean dining area! Detroit style pizza (pepperoni) was great and flavorful both times!! I'm sure we'll be back!!

Love transplant pizza!!!! Their spicy pickle pizza was amazing! I’ve actually tried most of their pizzas and all have been great

First time here, got the Italian sandwich which was phenomenal! A slice of the Detroit double pepperoni pizza which was good. Also tried the fried pickles which were delicious. My husband got the sweet and spicy thin crust pizza which was also amazing! All the staff was super friendly and loved the look of the place. We will definitely be back soon!

Great thick crust pizza with a slight crispness. It's the best at a restaurant that I've had in a long time. Excellent sandwiches, too, the Italian is the best.

This is a fun place! The game consoles are very fun at the connected taproom, and the pizza is great. This pizza is delicious and thiccccc so you probably need to order less than you think!
