Everything is amazing, except their To-Go boxes. The boxes are horrible. They get soggy and flimsy. And eventually the cardboard breaks down and you eat the cardboard to. For the amount of money they charge for their delicious food, this place should be able to provide better to-go boxes.

I like this place but their pitas are wack. Every time I order a gyro or a shwarma the pitas fall apart. I don't get it. How hard is it to make a pita that doesn't fall apart when you eat it?

My new GO TO SPOT for Gyros!🤤

I ordered the Gyro plate combo and the appetizer sampler and a side of fries!

Everything was delicious: freshly made, great proportions for the price and flavor is all there, quick and super friendly family-owned service.

So glad they exist!

I’ve been here 2x and I plan to return plenty more times! I’m so excited to have a GoTo spot for my Mediterranean fix! I only wish it was closer to my home in Vail- but tbh- it’s worth the drive.

Ordered meat plate entree, gyro meal entree and appetizer sampler. Pita, falafal, baba and hummus were good and fresh. Gyro meat and chicken were bad - chopped very small, were dry and lacked flavor. They skimped on the sauces and left out the extra baba that was paid for. Have been several times in the past, but disappointed for $60.

The employees are so kind and friendly, and the food is delicious! I am currently managing a few new food allergies, and the gentleman who took our order was wonderfully patient. He checked labels for me and helped me find the perfect meal, despite my food limitations. 10/10 recommend this place!

I stopped in for the first time today and ordered lunch to go. Fantastic menu with so many choices! I got the appetizer sampler and regular size gyro sandwich. The gyro was good sized. I could have cut it in half and saved the rest for later, but it was too delicious! The sampler had several tasty items with plenty of pitas. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean and my order was ready quickly. I'm so glad I found Urban Pita. I will definitely be back to try something else from the menu!

Lots of clearly marked veg options on the menu

lots of free parking and the outdoor seating is nice too

I will keep this in mind for a fresh Veg options on the Eastside of Tucson

It's hit or miss. Today we ordered the meat plate with chicken and gyro... they were both dry and inedible. It's like they used leftovers from 3 days ago. Pretty disappointing 😞

Love going here!!! As someone with celiac disease, it’s very difficult to actually find truly gluten free options at restaurants. Urban pita does it!! Been in there for take out many times. The guys in the evening will answer questions and help offer gluten free options. The menu has it marked as well. If you choose a non gluten free option, they’ll suggest how to make it gluten free (hey there’s pita with that plate, want that removed?). The other day I was in on a Sunday evening. Kind lady at the counter was great at confirming all the allergy information and clarifying hey, no pita on this, there’s an upcharge for substituting rice instead of hummus, etc. as she was preparing the plates. Got home and there was pita on the gluten free plate. Called them (which it did take about 7 calls before someone finally picked up) and she said oh my gosh! I’m sorry; come back and I’ll start on a new plate right away. Got there and she gave my husband a whole new gluten free plate, and even tried to give us a free something as an apology, but we did not want to take advantage and said just the plate is good. Always 10/10 experience! The food is incredibly delicious too!!!! Love!! Inside is cute and homey; not too fancy, but most people do pick up.

The first time I ate here, shortly after they opened, I had a Gyro plate. It was pretty good, but compared to other Greek/Mediterranean food places in Tucson I felt the portions were small and there were little to no options on sides I would have preferred. Today was my second time here, and I tried the steak Shawarma sandwich in a pita. The flavor was not great and the serving size was very small, considering the price. Both times I’ve been here, the restaurant has been completely empty of any other customers, there is some light music, but no televisions to watch while you wait and dine, so… not much atmosphere or ambience. I really wanted to like this place, but I would much rather eat at Shish Kebab House or Opa‘s best. Sorry.

I ordered a falafel Greek salad. Instead of giving me the plate they charged the falafel and salad separately so they could charge me an extra $4 when I asked why it’s extra they claimed they were saving me money. They said the falafel plate only comes with 2 falafels that’s why. They are dishonest. Im not going back.
