We came without a reservation and got seated right away. The service was excellent, and everyone was nice. The food was all very good and came out quick, it's just a little expensive especially if you have a large party. Would come again and definitely recommend the dessert baked cookie!

I took my mom here for lunch and the food was borderline inedible. The service itself was great and the atmosphere felt inviting with cooler earth tones and stereotypical Italian music. We ordered the marsala and picatta, neither of which took too long to get to the table, but both were more than disappointing. The picatta was a curdled mess of lemon juice that was broken before it ever hit the plate, and the marsala was practically a noodle soup with exactly five slices of mushroom throughout. On a positive note, the chicken and noodles on both plates were cooked perfectly, though that should be a given with any $25 entrée. We were both starving, so we ate anyway, and by the end of the meal my plate was a cold and watery grave for my hopes of finding another decent Italian joint around midtown.

My wife and I have been to the Oro Valley location and only had great experiences, so we decided to try the Swan location. We were in the area with a family member and were excited to have her try a new place.

We arrived at the restaurant approximately 2 and 1/2 hours before closing time. We passed a party of 4-6 leaving as we walked in with our party of 3.

When we approached the hostess (older lady with blue eyes, unfortunately didn't catch her name) she just stared at us. My wife told her, "party of three" to get the conversation started, which is when she gave a very clear and judgy "up-down" look at us.

None of us were dressed inappropriately, all of us were clean, and we were being friendly. I honestly don't know what she was looking at, but she *obviously* was prejudiced against something.

She pretty coldly asked us if we had a reservation, which has NEVER happened Oro Valley location, but we told her no. Then, she proceeded to just stare at us.

She did not offer us a wait time (people were actively leaving and they were open another 2 and 1/2 hours), she didn't offer any sympathy/apology, nor any suggestions.

She could AT LEAST have said they were packed with reservations until the end of the night, but given a business card so we could call ahead next time, or said sorry, or something. Instead she just stared us into leaving.

I will NEVER go back to this restaurant! It is difficult to nuance into words the way she was staring and made us feel, but it was not pleasant at all. It felt very much like profiling.

Our cousin that we were trying to take to dinner is a refugee from Mexico (in fact, all three of us are Hispanic) and this was her first ever experience at an Italian restaurant. Instead of a lovely Italian dinner, we left wondering if we were turned down over racism or some other rude profiling.

I am very disheartened because I really love the other location; they are always a pleasure.

I will not be returning, and honestly, I kind of don't want to support the other location anymore now. I've never been made to feel that badly when trying to give my money for someone's business.

All three of us ladies are perfectly capable of cooking pizza or pasta at home or going elsewhere. We were trying to go for atmosphere and an easy evening. Instead, we were made to feel very badly for wanting to eat at a restaurant. I have been to 5 star restaurants; you are not that fancy, Vero Amore.

We had Vero Amore catering for our sons wedding reception. They were outstanding!! Katie was our contact person and from our first meeting to the wedding the service was top-notch! Katie worked with us to choose dishes that would work well on a buffet. Our guests were all very impressed with the choices and presentation!
I highly recommend them for any event you may be organizing.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve ordered takeout. I love down the block but I’m disabled so I can’t usually get there. The last 3 times I’ve been trying to get the cheesy pasta but I call first to make sure it’s available. 2x I’ve gotten Alfredo which is ok but not what I ordered. This time I got marinara.. It’s ok but I have a freezer full of homemade sauce. Am I never going to get the cheesy pasta unless I go there and make it myself????.

Unfortunately the pizza was very poor quality. The toppings just fell right off the dough.

It was not crispy as asked to be when ordered. The sauce was not quality. Wanted to like this place, bummed. Maybe the Sunday chef was off. Argh.
