Basic coffee shop. Basically good food. Proficient waitress.
Roger H. was amazing!
I had a great experience at Village Inn recently, and I just had to give a shout-out to our server, Tabby. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. It's rare to find service that feels both genuine and efficient, but Tabby absolutely nailed it. If you're thinking about stopping by, I definitely recommend it—not just for the food, but for the kind of service that makes you want to come back. Thanks again, Tabby!
When we went there there was hardly any one there.

**Review for Village Inn at 9560 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85716**
As a local business owner in Tucson, I’m appalled by the service my fiancée and I experienced during our visit today at 10 a.m. We’ve been to this location several times and have always had good service—until now.
Our server, a young man with a long ponytail, had previously helped us without issue and was friendly. However, today was a different story. I ordered steak and eggs, specifying that I wanted the steak cooked *medium*. When the food was brought to the table, I cut into the steak only to find it was *well done* with very little pink.
I called the server over to point out the issue. Instead of addressing the mistake, he looked at me as though *I* had done something wrong. When I explained the steak was overcooked, his response was, “Do you want it medium rare?” I clarified that I wanted it cooked *medium*, as I had originally ordered. He then asked, “So you want it cooked more?” This back-and-forth continued, with the server seemingly more interested in arguing his point than resolving the issue.
To make matters worse, I even showed him a picture on my phone of what a medium steak should look like, and his response was, “I was trained differently, and so were my cooks.” Any competent cook or server should know the difference between *medium* and *well done*. Instead of offering to fix the issue or replace the steak, he insisted on being right.
Even the people seated near us noticed and agreed with my frustration, laughing at how absurd the situation had become. When I brought this up with the manager, they too couldn’t understand why the server acted this way.
This experience left me confused, frustrated, and disappointed. I hope the staff at this location can receive better training to avoid similar incidents in the future.

The bathrooms are so disgusting and filthy you are better off going outside to use the bathroom. The restaurant stinks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Can only imagine the lack of hygiene that goes on in the kitchen

Exceptionally good service from Estella…not too much & not too little. Appreciated the good/sturdy quality of the forks—unlike some restaurants.
Wish list: Pie was good but a little too sweet for me. Would be nice if they had one berry pie option that is a little tart (1/2 the sugar).

They have a good American menu that offers a decent selection for picky kids. Friendly service. Sometimes it can be dirty. Flies flying in the windows , bathrooms can be stinky and dirty. Food is good, not great, not terrible.
