UNSANITARY ! Management and staff allowed a dog with no leash to walk around in the restaurant. The dog sniffed customers upon walk-in until the dog owner called her back, reassuring she was “friendly”. The dog owner finished his meal, took the dog to his car and returned with 3 puppies. The puppies were sat at the bar counter, eating off of the reusable plates..all of this done in front of staff. Staff/management watched as the puppies ate off of the plates & walked on the bar. It wasn’t until I spoke up that the staff did anything about it. Puppies have worms and parasites. It is completely unsanitary. I literally gagged and asked for my order to be cancelled!! When I took pictures and said I was going to report it was the only time there was any urgency in handling the situation. The dog was there before I got there and the staff and management allowed it. It was not a service animal. It was not on a leash. I really hope they threw those utensils and dining plates away.

If you are looking for the greasy-spoon, old-fashioned diner experience then this is the place; and I mean that in a good way. Good food, down the earth people. Nothing fancy. Just some great pecan waffles, decent eggs, perfect grits, and a strong cup of coffee..black. A few small booths, counter seating, and a jukebox. You're either WH material, or your not.

I had a great experience at Waffle House. Even though it was very busy, the all-women team was incredibly coordinated, polite, and professional. They handled the rush with ease. The food was fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely be back!
