I’m a local who has patronized Yellow Brick dozens of times, and service is always efficient and attentive. The coffee is stellar - it’s one of many coffee shops locally that are serious about their roast quality. I’m a fan of their cold brew, oat dirty chai, and pastries (also from a local business). As for others reviewers’ misleading claims of subpar customer service: Baristas make coffee and cashiers take orders and facilitate payment - anything outside of those responsibilities is an added benefit, not a prerequisite for your decency as a human being and customer.

Reading the other reviews for YBC, I was expecting to be impressed. Unfortunately they have a very limited menu and absolutely no flexibility in how they brew coffee. Only whole milk or oak, one way of steaming, etc. The interior was well done, but the menu and service were sub par. There's better places out there.

It’s giving Scottsdale: Expensive, “healthy” but overall mediocre.
The people working there were amazing and so so friendly, and the shop itself was gorgeous, but it really needs to be backed up with food and coffee that’s worth spending the time there to enjoy the atmosphere. I had a cup of nasty served in a pretty package with a smile.

Very nice smooth coffee and light-filled space. Perfect spot for catching up with a friend. Will come again!
Papau New Guinea bean is my favorite ever so far. Yellow Brick Coffee has become my go to for beans. Very high quality and consistency for high end espresso lovers, is the best roaster in Tucson.

I like the espresso and I have for years. I recommend that. Absolutely.
My nitpicks are with atmosphere and may well be just that, mine. I found the acoustics, the echo of the space, a bit too lively, and coupled with the ambient music that was louder than I needed, I found it difficult to enjoy a conversation or to sit for a while to read or work. Also, the lighting is bright, and on one wall, in your face. It's too much light for my eyes. That said, it's a sharp, well-coordinated design aesthetic.
The shop's seating is comfortable, the place is kept clean, and although you don't see signs for it, the available bathrooms are well-serviced. I've always encountered friendly staff.
Since I prefer quieter environments with more diffuse lighting, however, I typically take my drinks to go.
Side note: Not a review of the shop, but parking is tight, as in snug and close, and limited. But it is free.

$11 worth of food is two tiny pieces of bread that were mostly hard inedible crust and a handful of wilted greens with a single drop of dressing. Super weird. The toppings were good but I got like two solid bites out of each and was still pretty hungry.

Juliana at the courthouse location made our visit extra extraordinary. Her professionalism balanced with friendliness and information about the architect and different offerings from the menu really made our visit complete and the food was delicious as well!

Was served the second worst matcha latte I’ve ever had and the girl at the register was unfriendly and stared at me weird because I have a visible disability. Will not be back

Really nice coffee shop located in the heart of DT Tucson. There really isn’t dedicated seating since it caters to the community around it, but there are seats and tables nearby. Try one of their seasonal specials. They’re a delight!

Yellow brick is everything you want in a coffee shop. I’m a huge fan of cold brew and this is the best cold brew I’ve had here in Tucson hands down. Their breakfast sandwich is delicious and the bread is locally sourced! The barista’s are super nice! Lindsey always makes my time at YBC enjoyable! It’s also a great place to come get some work done! Highly recommend.
