Wonderful first experience with Ethiopian food. My wife was mild and mine was spicy. Both of us were very pleased. We also had the coffee - very nice.

A wonderful experience, excellent food, service and atmosphere, a real treat. I dined here for a late lunch, enjoyed a combo with lamb, red lentils and collared greens. Excellent quality ingredients prepared skillfully!

We tried a combination of vegetable/meat dishes and all were fantastic. We specifically loved the shiro, yemisie kay wat, and the gomen alicha. The three veggie/meat samplers are definitely filling enough for one person. This restaurant also has a great outdoor seating area that would be great during the spring/summer. Overall, we would highly recommend trying Zemam's.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson! The food is always incredible, the staff are friendly, and it’s fully wheelchair accessible! I was able to navigate it easily in my chair.

The service was fine. The dishes seemed to be all on the spicy side, even the supposed mild ones. We ordered three samplers so nine different dishes in total; however the variation in taste and texture was limited. Some of us thought the bread was okay, others found it limp and spongy. The ambience was good although they probably could work a bit on the decor.

My husband and I bring our friends and family here everytime we are in town! We love the food, the unique flavors, sampler platters and family style eating is perfect. We love the chicken and red meat dishes but the vegetarian dishes are our favorites! The tea, coffee, and tej (honey wine) are worth trying, my friends and family always get 1 of the 3. The staff are always super nice. The atmosphere is also great, my friends have even gotten the Spotify Playlist from the staff so they could listen to it later, it really is such a vibe.

I went in there today and had a bad experience in the coffee shop. Even though I had been in twice this week and had decent experience. The guy at the counter told me not to come back because I told the people standing directly behind me that they were standing too close to me. In a calm voice but I guess they were trolling or something but I just told them that they were standing too close to me. And it truly seemed that problem was they will impose on you it isn't a place where you can drop in and get what you want. You have to actually get all of there culture and I didn't appreciate the fact that one guy behind the counter says you won't get service here again and I said you mean the whole Business? He says no if I am here I won't serve you. What kind of of answer is that. Like he and I have a specific problem. When I called and complained to the manager he mumbled at a very low level until I stopped talking and then he hung up on me. I just don't think it's a place that is easy to just get food because your hungry. You have to really get immersed in what the culture the second you step.in the door
