Im from the yuma area and got the birria pizza and it was awesome and tasted so good. Definitely worth it 👌 ill gladly eat here again when I visit Tucson 😋
The elote and the birria pizza are so delicious! I also loved the prickly rose tea. The service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet. I highly recommend this place!
Food was great! The chamomile honey goat cheese spread was my FAV 😍 on the flatbread. They boast a unique blend of flours imported from Sicily and unique Southwestern grown also. Risotto was ok, a little mushy for my liking. But it doesn't keep well after a while. The spicy bolognese with mushrooms was also tasty, the pasta handmade and perfect al dente . Lovely environment, the place was packed!
I really like the pizza, Ceasars salad & drinks.
Wow what a hidden gem. Wonderful pizza ans we had a green chili entre suggested by server since our 1st time. Best for adults with how atmosphere appeared. We will be back to enjoy more creative wonderful food
Zio Peppe is nothing like prior restaurants that have occupied this building. Don't let the modest exterior or location fool you. You will be pleasantly surprised when you enter this restaurant and see the tables nicely set with black tablecloths and an an overall elegant feeling. The serivce we had was excellent and the overall atmosphere quite wonderful and relaxing. Produce and meats are locally sourced where possible with other goods imported from Italy and Spain for authenticity. Zio Peppe also uses local heirloom grains for their bread and pizza. We ordered starters, entrees, and cocktails and all were delicious. Save room for dessert, as the dessert menu looks appealing, even though everyone was too to order anything more. They also have some Digestives on their dessert menu, which I will try next time. The restaurant has a smaller capacity, so reservations are suggested. I would rank Zio Peppe as more of a higher-end restaurant, so the prices are commensurate. If you want to dine somewhere special and are on the east side, you might want to consider Zio Peppe. I definitley recommend this restaurant and will dine here again.
Italian meets Mexican and makes magic! What a complete delight. I started with calamari with chicharrones and the bread with an infused goat cheese spread. The bread was amazing and the spread you eat by the spoonful. The calamari was perfectly executed, I did not care for the black underlayment for the calamari, it had a texture like charcoal and a charred flavor, I personally did not see how the dish benefited from it. For entrees we had the figgy stardust pizza, it was epic, you would think those flavors would not go together but they do. We also had the tequila rotini pasta dish, a play on vodka penne. I really enjoyed that as well. We also tried the chili and cheese infused ravioli. Those I would not order again as they simply paled in comparison to the other dishes. Dessert was a little more hit and miss. They’re version of the tiramisu dish was a tasty adaptation. The Jamaican cheesecake I would pass on in future visits. The taco style cannelloni honored its roots and tastes just like the original at a classic Italian restaurant. My personal preferences aside, there wasn’t a bad dish to be had. It’s a refreshing and daring adaptation of Italian classics, but it just works and it works well. There is a lot of love and passion in the food and it comes through! I will be back and I look forward to tasting other creations. Side note, the bourbon selection is weak but again, that’s a personal point for me and in no way impacts how I feel about this amazing little place.
Don't bother coming unless you make an advanced reservation. I've tried twice now on the past 3-4 months, most recently at 5:30 and well before any dinner rush, and they said they couldn't sit us for over an hour... even though half the restaurant was empty. They were holding tables for reservations that didn't even arrive for 45 minutes! I have loved their food and frequently have recommended them. Never again.
What a gem of a restaurant. Unique food great service just a great meal. Thanks for building such a wonderful place.
Amazing customer service. Amazing pie!! You have to try the green chile polenta!! Will definitely recommend and come back . :)

I've loved this restaurant since the first time I went there. It continues to get better each time. I've referred several people, and all have become regulars.
As always, Zio Peppe serves up excellent food and service! One of our favorite places. I left my purse at the restaurant and got a call from Julianna ten minutes after we left to alert me. Much appreciated!
Amanda was a great server, she's attentive and knowledgeable. Our dishes were delicious and the setting is cute and intimate. Tables are closer but, it's a small space so, it's expected. The only thing that could use improvement is the table lamps were set to a cool white light but had a warmer color setting as well, the warmer light is much less harsh and comfortable for my sensitive eyes. We will be back- and hopefully are lucky enough to get Amanda again.
Prompt service. Food was interesting and great. We sat outside by the parking lot so a bit of car noise, but not too bad.
Waitress was rude w/ attitude, from the second we sat down! Will never have her serve us again!
