First visit was for an R&D dinner, and it was some of the best food I have had in a long time. Clearly a well deserved reputation as one of the best Chefs & Restaurants in Tucson, and probably the state as well.

Didn't look busy at all, but oddly told l needed a reservation??? So l didn't get to try it.The Google page didn't indicate that a reservation was mandatory.Parking: Abundant parking available. Place was a ghost town the day l visited.

food was great! Had really good portion sizes for pasta and pizza! I think I’d rather prefer to take out rather than dine in, parking lot is a bit crowded and small

Excellent food and excellent service!!We started with a Cesar salad that was very good. We then ordered the Margherita pizza and the Figgy Stardust. Both were delicious. We loved the flavors the Figgy Stardust had. It was sweet and savory. Highly recommend!Thank you Phil for taking care of us!

I have tried Zio Peppe twice. My review, in one word, is “Overrated”. I found their dishes and menu concept interesting but not as tasty as I hoped. The service, both times, was chilly. First visit was my birthday with five friends and though we had reservations for 7:15, and were on time, there was no table availability on the horizon. The restaurant is small so the six of us offered to wait in the cowboy bar next door. We were told to watch for a text when the table was ready. We had a drink but never got a text, and returned to Zio to see if we were close to being seated. As she sat us the hostess thanked us for waiting, then quickly pivoted to telling us the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. Second visit was with one friend, reservation also for 7:15. We got similarly chilly service and the food was good but not great. I won’t go back to Zio Peppe due to my service experiences and just okay food but if you want to try it I suggest making your reservation for when they first open and only go with a few people.

My husband and I had the wood fired bread, the Mesclun Salad and the Pizza Bîanchi plus beer and an Italian Rose to drink. Everything was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. The tables are a bit close together, but I understand that they are quite busy and trying to accommodate more diners. There is a patio with heaters as well that looks nice. I have been here once before with my mom, and the pasta was tasty and the chocotacannoli was out of this world. Definitely recommend.

Dinner was very good & evening was enjoyable until we were asked to leave because they needed our table. I understand it’s a busy restaurant however if there are time restrictions guests should be made aware ahead of time. Plus we were celebrating a 80th birthday & they didn’t offer a dessert. Disappointed!

Food was okay but not enough quality for the price. The most disappointing part was the crappy service. The guy barely made time for us even though there were only two other people there. He didn't offer us drink refills and refused to let us use both members of Tucson Foodie discounts, basically denying $40 off. Now, after this experience, I just had my R&D reservations for two with Chef Devon for $211 refunded because I will not be treated this way, on my birthday no less. Never going back again. I recommend anywhere else but here.

Absolutely delicious elote arancini and the figgy stardust pizza is a must try if you like a slightly sweet pizza. The birria pizza is a chef special and tastes wonderful in the dipping sauce it comes with. For dessert, the flourless chocolate cake is delicious and rich enough to share between two people. The restaurant is usually very busy so reservations are encouraged.

The restaurant smelled amazing from the second we entered and it did not disappoint! The food was exceptional. It tasted absolutely amazing and the presentation was fantastic. Being gluten free, I appreciated the gluten free options.

I was excited to take my girlfriend here on date night because she loves Italian restaurants. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated friendly and appropriately,The server did her best to take care of us.I write this review in the hopes that it simply helps the restaurant improve because I am not a negative person. My girlfriend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and I ordered a pizza as our entrée orders. We did not order any appetizers. The pizza came out and was dropped off without my girlfriend’s entrée.During the time we were waiting for her entrée to arrive, while my pizza is already at the table for almost 10 minutes, we had our server as well as two other employees come up to our table to ask. We were still waiting on one of our entrées.It was our server who first noticed we did not receive our second entrée for quite some time. Then it was a chef on the line who came up to us to check in to see if we had received the entrée which we still had not. Then after that, we had a different server come up to our table and apologize because the table behind us had ordered similarly. The Fettuccine Alfredo was dropped off by a food runner after the pizza was almost cold . At that point we were just happy to get it on the table but we were slightly disappointed because it felt as if her dish was rushed due to it being late. the sauce really needed salt as well as more Parmesan cheese. The pizza on the other hand was fantastic.Just a little too much for us, in terms of the drama of just receiving one dish.People make mistakes, it’s life. Hopefully this restaurant takes this review as constructive feedbackThank you
