I don’t do a lot of reviews. I’m also Chef, owned restaurants, I know my stuff. Food has flavor, that’s what I look for-owners is real cool. Check it out, if you like Indian food-super good.

Husband and I went to Zkya Twist on 4th Ave for lunch yesterday. It was our first time there and chose it after reading reviews to satisfy my craving for Indian cuisine comfort food. Service was great, food was incredible! We ordered the Mango Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Nann Bread. We shared a some of each dish and everything was absolutely delicious! Generous portions for taking home leftovers. We had it for dinner again last night and still have enough for my lunch today. Cozy table set up, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The only small distraction in atmosphere was stand up floor fans (which were a bit noisy and rattling) instead of air conditioning. Not sure if air conditioning was broke or they just don't have AC which would be unusual in Tucson. Still, we were comfortable and the food was absolutely worth it! Highly recommend! We will absolutely return!

I was a little disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. It was recommended to me by some friends and I thought I would try it out. As someone who is well versed with Indian food it fell short of my expectations. I ordered a samosa which should be pretty basic to prepare. It came out cold. They made it again and it was hot but the masala inside was raw and it wasn’t cooked prior to stuffing it. Furthermore the consistency was like mashed potatoes. The Chana masala was bitter unfortunately. Also the biryani wasn’t flavorful and aromatic as biryanis usually are. Raita was basically water. I hope my comments are helpful for the restaurant and their future patrons.
I wasn’t going to say this but after reading how the owner reacts to some of the bad reviews, I think I’d better say something. The staff was borderline rude at times, especially when we made a comment about their samosas. As someone who has owned restaurants, you have to learn to take bad criticism just as well as you take the good, if not better. If people are going to spend good money on your food, then it is important to listen when there is an element of dissatisfaction. This is how we improve! Best wishes!

The food was delicious, came out fast, and every one was prompt and friendl. We got to sit at the badass Metallica table. Metallica is my favorite so that was an awesome surprise. I will 100% be a repeat customer.
Excellent restaurant 10 out of 10 I recommend for everyone The food was awesome. I like it. It was very delicious.
I ordered veg biryani and a few curries(05/19/2025). The biryani was decent, but the dal makhani had an unpleasant odor that made it inedible. The Gobi Manchurian was average, and the onion pakoras were soggy with a smell of stale oil.
I have had biryani in 1000s of restaurants across US and the world, and this is the only place that puts chonky pineapples in biryani. Absolutely ridiculous! Pineapple goes with some varieties of Asian fried rice, not biryani. They're just making up stuff as they go.
The host/manager has absolutely no interest in service and never checked. 6:30-7:00 in the evening, nobody is around, I'd find more response if I was eating at a graveyard. No atmosphere whatsoever.
There's another restaurant on the University Blvd, which is much smaller than this, but very warm, welcoming and responsive. Skip this one. Waste of time and money.

I love Indian cuisine!!! Zyka Twist is my new go to spot!! I ordered the lamb saag with paneer and garlic naan!!! The flavors hit just right, full belly and happy thoughts!! No pictures because the food hit the table and was promptly devoured.
Walked in 2 hours before closing and we were given dirty looks when we asked for a table. The host seemed so bothered to seat the two of us even though they only had one other couple in the restaurant. It clearly was not busy. It took an hour for the food to come out. The staff were rude the entire time. I was excited to try this place before coming because of the high reviews but after dinning here I can’t understand how this place has high reviews as the service is terrible and the food was below average. Better spots in Tucson to spend money, wouldn’t recommend coming here. I never care to leave a low review at a place with poor service but this was the worst I’ve seen.
Tasty food and fast friendly service
Evening is so so good I like the are lambiryan garlic naan and alo naan
I had the lamb tikka masala medium plus heat. Perfect seasoning and flavors were wonderful. I heard the garlic naan was good. I disagree. It is great!! Just a little bit of crisp on the bite is perfect. Would definitely recommend. The interior is plain but clean.
