I went in a couple nights ago with a friend, and we were so grossed out. There was an employee there who seemed to be the manager, he smelled so bad we completely lost our appetite and left. Mind you, we had previously seen him in the kitchen cooking on several of our other visits to this restaurant. I couldn’t imagine eating the food after that. I will not be going back to Taco Giro until they talk to their employees about how important personal hygiene is. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE AROUND YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE EATING!!

I can't rate the food because they wouldn't serve us. We sat there in a booth for 30 minutes and were never waited on. There was only one other couple in this place at the time. We could see they had food and drinks on their table. Two servers just standing at the bar occasionally looking our way. After we were seated they never came over to give us menus, drinks, chips and salsa, nothing. Just ignored us. Crazy experience. There was a woman across from us promoting some local beer company and she gave us a couple free samples during this wait but she was not an employee. Just a person with permission I suppose to set up her companies beer sample promotions at the table for a while. The servers just ignored us and the atmosphere was quiet with Mexican music playing in the background. When we finally gave up and got up and started walking out, the two servers were just looking at us. Not a word. Crazy. We left and went to Montgomery's and were seated and helped immediately. So, my suggestion to go there and try them out failed.
The one thing I can definitely review is the fact we will never go back here.

Azlin was a great server who checked in on us. The food was delicious! Had the Camarones Costa Azul and the Aguachile Rojo shrimp dishes. Large servings and delicious!

Lucero was so fantastic, what a doll.
The service was fantastic. I sat at the bar and several of the bartenders waited on me. I showed up during peak Happy Hour and they took me in as one of their own.
The service shown at Taco Grio in Vail AZ, was something I hadn’t felt in a long time and sincerely thought was a thing of the past.
I ordered Albondegas soup; nothing fancy but they treated me like I was ordering a steak and top shelf tequila.
My hats off and gratitude to the staff at Taco Grio, Vail AZ!!!
Update: 19 August 2025, they do not have a Beer/Wine or liquor license, each time I’ve been back the service has been steadily declining, I’ve waited 30mins to pay my tab. Was good, but now not so good :(

We Love Taco Giro in Vail!! We go every taco Tuesday 🌮 and can't get enough. The tacos are amazing and the service is wonderful. Azlin was our server today and she is amazing! Everyone there was very helpful, friendly, and prompt. ❤️ Highly recommend it! 👌 Muy Bien!!

Big portions of enchiladas and beans. No rice by choice. Near home, so a great discovery. Had to ask for ground beef, as it's not listed as ingredients for enchiladas. Had to ask the meaning of TacoGiro. Rough translation: special color fighting chicken.

It was our first time trying Taco Giro in Vail. It was such a great experience! The food was delicious, especially the flan. Alexa our waitresses was amazing and very attentive. She was always checking up on us and making sure we’re doing okay. We will definitely be back soon !

The food was spectacular, taco Tuesday is the best deal in vail! The taco meat was juicy and fresh. We will definitely be back! Ask for Marytrini. Her service was excellent!
