This was the worst Mexican food we have ever had.I took one bite and immediately looked down at my plate in horror.Have you ever accidentally left ground beef in a pan for too long and discovered you now have rubbery burnt spheres? That describes the texture of the meat. But worst than that, it tasted spoiled. It was so bad I had to scrape the meat out and I have never had to do that before. We had waited so long and I was so hungry that I just ate the rest. Our server was so nice also...I didn't want to make a fuss. Then I looked over at my daughter's plate. It looked like someone had grabbed a box of mac and cheese from the grocery store...mixed it up earlier that morning...left it to sit ...and then stuck it in the microwave. I thought- why are we paying these prices for this??? The prices are what you would expect from a decent sit down restaurant...not this.We finished our meal and went to the hotel so we could get some much needed sleep before the next days' 14 hour drive.Cue the wrenching...not from me but actually from my son.He hadn't scraped the ground beef from his meal...because he will eat anything. We joke that he's a human garbage disposal. But oh the horror! He threw up all over his pillow from home and we just threw the entire pillow away. It was that gross. He continued to throw up throughout the night. The next day he had giant bags under his eyes as we drove and was completely miserable. We are not picky eaters and will generally eat anything without complaint. But this restaurant was special... for all the wrong reasons. We will remember it for years to come.

We stumbled upon this Mexican spot while driving down the iconic Route 66. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the tacos were delicious!

Ordered the carnitas plate and taco salad to go. The carnitas plate came with nothing, no sour cream, guacamole, nor pico, despite the menu listing. Ordered Pico for the taco salad which they forgot and had to go back to get... yet still didn't bring any for the carnitas plate. Very disappointed. Went here since El Corral was closed. Won't do it again.

It’s expensive. They charge an extra charge/ higher tax when you’re not from that area.

RES RES

What a pleasant surprise! We originally planned to go to a Mexican restaurant in the center of town but it was unexpectedly closed when we arrived. We were hungry and too tired to sift through reviews of other places, so just drove here and crossed our fingers! The service was very friendly - only two employees to work the bar and tables, but they managed. The food was pretty good - great chips, enchiladas verdes and quesadilla. The steak in the fajitas not the highest quality and tortillas not homemade (we are spoiled to have that regularly as Mexican restaurants at home). Found the atmosphere really pleasant. Would absolutely return.

We stopped by from our way back from the Grand Canyon. Food was good but there was only 1 person waiting on tables. When we arrived he only had 3 tables, but towards the end of our visit, the poor man had more than 7! We were a large group and the food came out at the same time.
