Cool little diner in the area, a small seated counter with a handful of booths and tables. This eatery is a freestanding part of the Pleasant Valley Inn complex. I ate here a couple differents days and at different times and each time my meal was made to order with care and thought. The owner is hands on and she will most likely be the one preparing your food. Its obvious, at least to me, that Marla cares about her customers and the foods she serves. Me and my wife drove through the area on our way home from camping, Young is beautiful and The Pleasing Palate was the prefect pit stop for lunch. I got the grilled chicken bacon avocado sandwich. It was great, probably the best I've ever had. The portions were good and was reasonably priced. Next time I'm in the area I'll be getting another.

Marla is an excellent cook. Her kitchen is small but clean. Her food is simple and fresh and DELICIOUS. Best meatloaf I've ever had. Her breakfasts are phenomenal so are her weekly specials. Wonderful place.
