The service worker at the counter who was putting the food containers, napkins, etc, into the go bag, was standing at the cash register biting his fingernails while people were waiting for their food. Coughing into his hands. Disgusting. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito. It was about 1/4 pound of refried beans and maybe 5 pieces of shredded cheese.

We’ve been coming to this place for 7 years. And it’s been good to us, food and the customer service is very good. The workers are amazing to us. If we are missing something or the order is wrong (which in fact is very rare because we are regulars)they don’t give us an attitude about it. Carne asada tacos are yummy especially their salsas. And their burros are on point my son loves them. I do wish their prices weren’t as pricey but it’s inflation, which I get it. Overall, it’s a great place to stop real quick fix when you have a busy day. Thank you ladies for what you do! Great job!

This place is so hit or miss. I’ve been going here for YEARS and the quality has declined heavily. With the staff they've hired recently I have been disappointed and will be on yet ANOTHER hiatus from this place. Last night I went to place an order when they told me they were out of flour tortillas and guacamole, despite the lack of ingredients I placed my order anyways. Come to find out, they were also out of tortilla chips? I was not informed of this until i had opened my to-go order at home. I paid $55 dollars for two taco meals and five carne asada tacos on the side, without chips, guac, and I had to go back inside to get the regularly included fish sauce that goes with the fish taco combo I ordered. I was originally hoping to place my order over the phone, but was then put on hold for nearly ten minutes, I arrived to the physical location before anyone had got back to me. There were few cars out front and only two people inside that had already been helped enjoying their meals. The gentlemen that had originally answered my call had AirPods in and was having what seemed to be a personal conversation about “munchie meals”. I figured this was the reason I was on hold for so long, why my order didn’t get taken, and why I was having to order inside. All of these factors combined, are leading me to not want to return even though I am a frequent customer.

Just had the most comical experience here because of a worker i’ve never seen before named Brenda. Completely off putting and never received anything I asked for. I wish they would release the footage of my whole interaction there because i thought i was being pranked. Worst experience ever kinda sucks but it is what it is

I have eaten at Palapas since I came to live here in the Foothills from Mexico. Everything is fresh, everything is very clean, the employees are friendly. The bean burritos with cheese and medium sauce are the most popular. In my opinion it is the best place in the Foothills to eat tacos.

Used to be so good. Prices out of control now, no more salsa bar. Much better options for tacos in Yuma.

I had a simple bean and cheese burrito and my husband had the three taco combo. They used a giant tortilla for the burrito, so there was lots of extra tortilla at the ends. The burrito had no onion, or sauce inside, so it was just ok. Their salsa made it good. The carne in the taco was dry-overcooked, the other two meats were just ok. The rice was way too salty. I would order a burrito again, and maybe try a fish taco.
We had to get cash from the ATM next door. But we're new to town and need to find good mexican food somewhere and wanted to try this place. So, that made lunch kinda expensive for what we got.
Two other patrons left without ordering while we dined, because it was "cash only."
