Today was my first time here 6/28/25.
Very disappointed. One server for the entire restaurant. Came in with a party of 5 adults. Orders 2 of the 5 orders came out incorrect. Items forgotten after requesting multiple times, and to top it off one person in my party ordered pancakes, flipped one over to find a small roach crawling around. No discounted plates after that was acknowledged by the server. Will not be returning.
Found a small cockroach 🪳 on the our plate. Smh
My first time eating here and it was 100% delicious. For my taste on Mexican breakfast it was super good !!! Very flavorful 😋
I ordered a combination plate... one cheese enchilada and one chile relleno w/rice & beans. Food came out hot, drinks were always full, the staff was friendly, the combo plate was delicious.
We go way back when the original owners owned it and his two boys were the servers. That’s when this restaurant was the best. Great customer service back then. Now, the serving amount was small in portion. We needed to remind the server of everything that we needed, like the basics. Another set of utensils, napkins, tortillas that normally come with the dish, we had to return the corn tortillas because she forgot to ask us which kind we wanted. The horchata drink was watered down. No paper towels in either bathrooms. They offered toilet paper in which to dry our hands. The servers were mindful but we had to ask for everything that we needed. How I miss the original owners and his fantastic son’s.
Had Pozole was amazing. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Home feeling and food was delicious. Would go again and try other dishes.

Only issue was the side of the table was dirty. Had dirt and grime on my shirt from sitting audit the table. Good was great though. One thing though it was a little too warm inside but still really enjoy this place

The BEST mexican food in town! Great customer service, friendly servers and the cooks go beyond their duty to make it a pleasant feast every single visit! Highly recommend Manjares on 8th St.

This establishment serves average food, but don't expect any semblance of customer service. Beware: the menu features phantom dishes that don't exist. Attempting to customize your order? Good luck getting heard. The server's incompetence reaches new heights; she couldn't even understand a straightforward request. Oh, and get ready for the cherry on top: overcharging and then blaming the customer for their own mistake. The sole server, apparently unfamiliar with the concept of a smile, rounds off the experience perfectly. Save your money and your sanity—avoid this place like the plague. Even if it were free, the sheer frustration isn't worth it.Double check your receipt if you choose to visit.

The service was the absolute worst I’ve seen in Yuma. The older waitress was very impolite. She didn’t bring the correct order & had an attitude when we asked for napkins, straws, & refills. The Pepe’s special was ok, but a small serving. The rest of the food was bland to say the least. I would never recommend this place or come here again. Let’s make this clear, I’m ONLY saying this about the restaurant on 8th Avenue. The Foothills restaurant is awesome, check them out.
