Pingüinos used to be my go-to place. What brings this whole experience down in the young man in the front. He slams things on the counter and is extremely sassy. I saw him go in the back after taking our order eating things. It makes me wonder how sanitary it really is. Did he even wash his hands after I wonder? The drain needs to be cleaned as well as the air filter. Maybe he should be working on cleaning those things instead of giving attitude and eating.
This place is honestly ALWAYS packed, we used to go to the one on 16th St and Ave B but once we find out that the mangos were FRESH, JUICY and not hard it's been our go-to. We recently just found out that they sold that place to another management which could be the reason 16th st mangos weren't as good. Love love this place though ❤️
Great raspados, utilitarian atmosphere but still excellent.
the guy with the braces was kinda rude and made us feel uncomfortable. idk if he was in a bad mood but we definitely didn’t feel welcomed.
Super yummy and I'm gonna go back to try the ice cream... But all I ordered was the snow one it was soooooo bomb
First time here while visiting Yuma and I got impressed with the customer service and their prices too. I got the mango mix raspado and it was delicious. I paid $3.49 for the medium size , this is very affordable. The place was clean, with a good parking lot out front. The owners were really nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place if you want to taste a good raspado. They also have different ice cream flavors at reasonable prices.

Honestly the rating here should be way higher!! The raspados are incredible. There’s no good place for dairy free ice cream in Yuma so this is *the* dessert spot is it for my lactose intolerant sisters!! Raspado de guayaba, jamaica, you can’t go wrong!
Great snacks!

If I lived in Yuma, I'd always come here for raspados! They're delicious and cheap. They remind me of the ones buy in TJ. We got a small Entumido for $3.49 and a medium Raspado for $1.69. The Entumido had two tamarindo candies, two plums/ciruelas, chamoy, and chile. It was great! We asked for strawberries, lechera, and hazelnuts on our raspado, and they delivered. Both drinks cost us about $7 total. I'm telling you, this is super affordable! The place was really clean, with a good parking lot out front, though it might get busy sometimes. The bathroom was super clean too! The owners were really nice and welcoming. I definitely this raspado shop!

Pinguinos is an ice cream shop located off 8th Street just east of Avenue A. They sell Thrifty Ice Cream, as well as Mango purees and other treats. The staff is always inviting and the shop is always clean.
