I usually have a very good experience with The Chile pepper, today I got a machaca and egg burrito and there were small pieces of eggshell in several of my bites. It’s very unpleasant biting over eggshells. I called the restaurant to let them know but no one answered. I usually am pretty easy going but it kind of ruined my burrito 😩 anyway I will keep going but just wanted to make you aware.
I ordered online and accidentally clicked the option to add green chili to my son’s chorizo and egg burrito. I called Chili Pepper and explained it was probably my mistake, and they were so kind about it! They told me it was no problem and to come pick up another one. The food is scratch-made, which is a real plus. I really enjoyed the tamle. The portions are generous. The food was a solid B, or maybe B+. Good without being great. There are definitely places in town I like more. I wish they had a salsa bar, and I thought the salsa they served with the chips was a bit thin and lacked a bit of punch. I'm sure I'll go back again, but probably won't go too much out of my way
