Other than maybe not being able to find a seat, Old Hand has been in my top 5 coffee shops for a few years.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and a low-key vibe for coffee dates or study sessions. A well-run establishment.

Dietary restrictions: Offers dietary options for all or most drinks.

Parking: Does not have their own parking lot, but has a parking lot across the street, or parallel parking along the road in front of the store. IF it's a very busy day it can be difficult to find a close parking spot, but a little walk is good for you.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, plastic cups available for drinks/water and lots of snacks. Bench seating available. Space for kids to move.

Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp from the road to the sidewalk is not in front of the store, might have to detour if needed (the store is in the middle of the block). Entrance IS wheelchair accessible, slight incline into the store, but no stairs. The ordering counter is a bit high which could be seen as an issue for some - but staff are always helpful. The bathroom is very spacious.

I wanted to go to Oldhand since I went to Foxglove, and I am very glad I did.

The interior looked pretty modern a straightforward with some antiquated décor here and there. They had plenty of their merchandise all over the café, such as cider, wine and coffee beans. The service was commendable and offered some additives for my order choices.

The first thing I ordered were a Cappuccino and a Chicken & Caesar Club sandwich. The sandwich was very good with how the fresh and salted the pretzel bread was. The meats and dressing in the sandwich were very scrumptious as well. The cappuccino was fine on its own but tasted better with some added sugar. Next I had the Cinnamon Bun with the Latcha Latte. The bun was fresh, moist and delicious and it did not need to be warmed up to bring out its flavour. The matcha latte was pretty interesting since I never had it before. Lastly, I had the Morning Glory Muffin, and it was nutritious and tasty at the same time.

Overall, this is a great café to have breakfast, lunch or even a small snack between meals. My only regret is that I did not come to the Oldhand sooner. I look forward to coming back there.

Vegetarian options: They have vegan and/or gluten free pastries made fresh every day, along with coffee concoctions with almond/soy substitutes.

This is a cute and cozy spot in downtown abbotsford, the atmosphere is warm, the blueberry scone was huge and delicious, and the salted caramel latte was smooth and creamy.

yaaaa not all it's cracked up to be, unless you enjoy waiting 20min for your coffee. I stopped by to grab a quick double shot of espresso and waited 20min for a cold and in my opinion single shot (even though they insisted it was a double). It wasn't even that busy. Looked like other people were frustrated at the wait as well. It's an expensive hipster joint. Not worth it.

Went in the other day to check this place out since I've passed it many times. I tried one of their lavender lattes and I was disappointed to find it had little to no lavender taste. It tasted like if I had poured myself a glass of milk and happened to have a lavender candle running in the background the flavor was that dull. Not to mention the bright cyan colour compared to an expected purple colour was a little alarming. The decor inside didn't feel homey or comforting, if anything I found it looked quite old and outdated. The desserts didn't look very appetizing in general. Overall, compared to other cafes in the area, you could find desserts and lattes of much better quality else where. 1/10 would not recommend.

My past review was a mistake on my phone. I love the atmosphere. I really wish they would keep frozen gluten free bread so I can eat too. Coffees great.

I got the chai tea (to go) at the recommendation of a staff member, I don't know if the chai is bad or they added 3 times as much as they should have, but it was terrible, and the pictures show just how much chai was in the bottom of my mug. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I was very disappointed to take 2 sips of a $5 drink and then have to dump it out.
