Overall good restaurant. Food was mediocre. Scallop appy was very overdone (and the first was burnt apparently so this was take two). The escargot was very greasy and the mushroom risotto was kinda mushy but it did taste good. Our server was excellent as was any staff we encountered. They made you feel very welcomed.
My Niece wanted all of us to go to the Happy Hour at the Keg, we all wanted to go where she selected as she was very ill and her future restaurant selections were limited. I'm so glad we drove to the Abby Keg, they were very accommodating to all of our special requests and everyone enjoyed their meals. My Niece ordered 4 appetizers and savoured every bite including the massive Billy Miner pie, surrounded by her loving family. May she rest in peace, thank you Abby Keg!
We tried some new items. Enjoyed the addition of Yorkshire with gravy. Unfortunately they were over baked/burnt. Kudos for adding them. Just need a little more experience cooking them. Hint to the chef: If they look like burnt toast, they taste like it. Tried the mushroom risotto with chicken, very nice. Salmon with honey mustard was delicious. The Keg is our go-to.
