Our experience at Alert Bay Lodge was excellent. Yes, we would recommend it.
During our September 2020 visit the Covid-19 protocols were enough for is to know we could be safe in the space, the great room with the fire burning was cosy and inviting and our room was extremely comfortable. The double doors leading from our room out to the deck overlooking the ocean made it extremely comfortable and contributed to a lovely island experience.

Just a wonderful, warm, special experience. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us, making us such delicious meals and for Estelle waking us up at 6am to make sure that we didn't miss our grizzly tour!!!!
Awesome place to stay, right on the water! Staff there are super friendly and accommodating. Estelle made me the BEST turmeric latte! <3

Alert Bay Lodge provides a pleasant stay with clean and comfortable rooms. Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast and receive helpful information about nearby activities from the welcoming and caring hosts. The lodge has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to meet people and relax. The rooms are great, super clean and exactly what is needed, with comfy beds, a medium-sized fridge, a table and chairs, and lounge chairs. Visitors especially appreciate the peaceful pace of the island, the beautiful scenery, and the abundant Bald Eagles. The hosts are known for their kindness and the exceptional quality of their meals, which include flavorful, creative dishes. The food is incredible; every course is a highlight, made with love and a lot of skill. The lodge is beautiful, calm, and full of interesting stuff, with nice areas for sitting inside, watching the water and checking out for whales. It is a great addition to the island and very popular with the locals for food.
