We stopped for lunch at a small diner in the Thompson Country region. The restaurant was empty so we could place our orders immediately. We planned on eating outdoors and found some benches in the shade of trees.

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to bring plates outdoors, so we had to ask for takexcellentprisingly, the food quality was very good. The chef even came out of the kitchen to talk to us, and he was very nice.

The picture doesn't...
Me and my mom went here for a burger. We ordered and were seated in less than a minute, and the food was amazing. Sam was so kind, and it was reasonably priced too. I wish Sam good luck on his retirement, and I really enjoyed eating there.
We were coming back from basscoast festival and wanted somewhere to stop half way for something tasty so we went to Ashcroft and randomly found Sam’s diner. It’s a nice diner, very clean and great service. Sam the owner and chef is so lovely. My husband had fish and chips and I had sweet and sour chicken. We were both super happy and had clean plates! The fries are legendary … the other reviews are true. It’s a no frills kind of place but it has a lovely sense of community...
